> 3 dayI used to avoid Phrozen resins completely (I got a few with the printers and then a few more when they ran a sale on Amazon, and they all came in leaky bottles and they required massive supports). I avoided them for several years. Then I got Mini 8K with a bottle of their 8K resin, and the new bottle doesnt leak (and the seal is excellent) and it was very easy to print. So I tried the 4K resin. Its very similar to the 8K resin, slightly slower, marginally lower resolution that you can only notice with a small 8K printer. It has excellent printability and is easy to clean. After the IPA bath, its not tacky at all. I wave a UV light over it to cure any remaining wet spots and its done. I dont do the regular all-around curing on it, and it stays slightly flexible! Its actually hard to break, it will bend to the point that it doesnt recover the original shape, but it still wont break (you need to varnish or prime it, or it will keep curing and getting harder and more brittle). Even better, I found that it does not need to be primed: acrylic paints stick to it just fine, including contrasts and washes. The ivory resin has a pleasant color to serve as a base, and the grey resin can be used as-is in the shadows if you do zenithal priming with white.

> 3 dayVery nice quality resin, especially for miniatures. Uncured resin cleans very easily with IPA compared to other resins Ive tried. This is my new go-to resin for miniatures!

> 3 dayI’m new to resin printing, but in the past 2 weeks I’ve tried both the Anycubic Eco Resin and this Phrozen Aqua-Gray 4K. The Anycubic Eco has been much better both in terms of build quality and smell. This Phrozen resin is very smelly to me. I’m sure it’d be fine for those that have good ventilation, but it was terrible for me as I only have one small window to vent my space. I’m not sure how this qualifies as “low odor” but I’d very much recommend using only in very well ventilated area and possibly even a respirator. The build quality was fine, but I actually got better prints with the Anycubic Eco resin. The Phrozen came out brittle. This very well could be my print settings as I’m using Chitubox’s default profile for this resin with my Phrozen Sonic mini 4K and I had to create my own profile for the Anycubic Eco (0.05mm layers, 9 second exposure, 60 second base layer exposure, 8 base layers). Lastly, it’s much cheaper buying directly from Phrozen. Not sure why Amazon tacks on an extra $10/kg. Overall, it was definitely usable, but it seems like there are better products out there in the market.

> 3 dayIt works well with my Phrozen sonic 4k mini. Like most resins it has a strong odor, but after you wash it with alcohol or ethanol the odor is gone.

> 3 dayThe resin is great to work with. Unlike the Phrozen Aqua 8k resin which is brittle after printed, there is a some a good amount of flex with the material and the supports just peel away and leave little damage to the part after just printed and washed. The resin consistency is really good too and I keep track with the resin with a resin calibration test (Cons of Calibration) with every print to keep track of the exposure and the exposure doesnt change on me. Ive tried several resins including a mix of Fast with Tenacious before to get flexible parts and even used onyx resin but this is better for miniatures and figures.
