Great way to get rid of expired medications without dumping them into our water systems.

If you have any pain killers (oxycodone, hydrocodone, methadone, etc.) that are controlled substances and you need to dispose of them, please check with your local pharmacy first before buying this! They SHOULD give you a DisposeRX packet with each opioid prescription- a packet of powder that dissolves/makes pills completely useless, allowing you to throw them away in a regular trash can vs. buying this pricey pill bottle and using way more plastic than necessary. The packets are free and very simple to use. That’s all!! :)

I have never used these before but I think they are the best idea yet for throw away meds!

neat product that definitely fills a need. we have kids in and out of our house, and the remnant meds need to go somewhere safe.

Using it to safely dispose of my old out dated pills. Much easier than using the mail in bags.

Excellent product for disposal of medication that I do not have to take and leave home to have them destroyed.

A lot better than tossing meds in the trash with all the problems we have in society. A way to get rid of the opioids and pain meds from aging or passing family in bulk batches.

Went to a large medical meeting 2019. DEA and Medical board Reps completely stumped by the question what to do when patient brings back pain pills they dont want to use back to Dr Office. The Doctor cannot legally take them back, but needs to document their destruction. Only way to do it is witness the patient destroying the pills with these and then the patient takes home the pills in the pill destroyer. This way the Doctor can take picture of pills and pill destroyer witnessed by patient, Doctor and Doctors staff witness, have a picture record for the chart. Doctor should not even touch the pills. Have the patient destroy them with this bottle and dump them in their own home trash. Then Doctor can now safely prescribed a replacement with something else without concern that they will be taking both meds and overdosing or giving them away to someone else.

This is easy to use but I couldn’t fit 350 capsules in one bottle. You can only fill it up to about halfway up the container. The rest of the room is for water. I can see that I need to find a much bigger disposal container. My doctor did tell me that I could dissolve pills in a bottle of Coke and throw it out!
