My black bear hamster loves the tubes . He’s a little bottom heavy so smaller tubes don’t really work well for him. I havent Had to clean them yet (he’s pretty much litter box trained) so I cant Say about that. Some people said they are too loud ... they are a bit loud opening and closing them but that’s kinda how the mechanism works to be able to retract them. Doesn’t bother me much. Worth it for the space saving quality. They are a little thin so you have to be aware to not bend them the wrong way when closing them . But really , this was the best deal I saw out there, and they serve their purpose .

The rats love the tubes, but after 3 weeks they are starting to chew holes in them.

My baby boy rats love these tubes.. I only keep one at a time in the cage though, because one of them ends up pooping in it. Easy to clean: I use spray soap, let it sit a few minutes, then rinse it out with hot water. Any bits that are still stuck can be wiped cleaned. Be sure to use enough things to attach it with, its not the best with sturdiness. Good durability and easy to collapse for storage.
