Low RAM, low PPI, old 2-core processor: This thing should be a dog. Its not, though. Its great. Its fast and responsive, the screen is clear, and Pocketbooks software will let you read anything but DRM Amazon and reflow it, too (Perfect for textbooks). In the rare case that something isnt compatible, you can install KoReader, which is compatible with everything else and will still use the devices buttons. Compared to some competitors, it even offers expandable storage and a temperature-adjustable frontlight. If you dont like the buttons on the right side, just flip it over. This is a great device, and I wish I had bought it as soon as it came out. I bought this thing in a pinch when my previous large screen reader suddenly quit responding to inputs. Both devices are 9.6, just big enough to read textbooks and other stuff one might print to a standard-sized piece of paper. Just crop out the white border. 10.3 is becoming more popular, but carrying something around with those dimensions is harder. I have no regrets about this purchase. If youre looking for a large screen reader but dont need to write on the screen (which you still can technically), this is the one. Dont bother looking at the other options that are sometimes hundreds of dollars more.

This is a decdnt e-ink reader. The writing on it is terrible, I wouldnt expect to accurately write on it. The buttons are hard to tell what they do, but you could probably just put stickers on the buttons. Pocketbook shouldve really put white stickers instead of being forced to turn on a light.

This is a beautiful device. Easy set up. The screen is very sharp and is hard to believe it looks as clear as a 300 dpi device. The only drawback and the reason it has been returned is that it is a little too heavy for someone with advanced arthritis in their hands. Other than that, I would highly recommend this brand and device.

There are so many things I like about this. I am using it as an ereader and not much more. So theres much I cannot comment on. As an ereader, I am quite happy. I like the size and ease of it. I love that I can make the wording better by just using two fingers and scrolling out or in (to make it smaller). The light isnt hard on the eyes and lights the wording really well. That it has a micro SD made me choose this particular Inkpad. Battery is okay. I read for around 12 hours and then recharge. The cons; Like every other ereader and touch screen I have, they are glitchy. But Id say this is a tiny bit more glitchy than most. If I use the buttons to go to the next page, thats fine and never glitches. However, in the dark they are hard to see and use and have no feel to them to know what is the right button to hit. However, if you cant see you can use your finger on the screen to to swipe to turn the other page. Now, this is where glitches come into play. Sometimes it goes a few pages instead of one. Sometimes it acts as if I used two fingers and is now trying to resize the page. This can truly be annoying when I am waiting for it to resize when I am at an important part of the book. Since are no buttons on both side, I have to struggle to find the button to change the page with my right hand only. Would be much nicer if on both sides. Would I buy this again? Of course. Out of all my options, this was the one I kept coming back too and I have been happily reading since.

I waited for quite a while to upgrade to a new e-reader without Android on it. My old e-reader was an Onyx Boox i86 and this reader is a big upgrade compared to that one. It is fast and responsive, with a great user interface. Im very happy with it so far.

It is the best E-Book Reader ever! Loving the larger screen. With more text fitting into the larger screen is great for larger fonts. You can see the larger screen size makes a big difference.
