> 24 hourThere was a difference in opinion here on whether this game actually worked in a 2DS console. Of course 3DS games in general can play in 2 dimensional format in a 2DS console, however that was theoretical information. I needed someone who had *actually* played the game in a real 2DS console. Also the outside of the package says Playable in 2D, however that is not the same as saying this actually works in a 2DS console. It simply means that you can play the game in 3 dimensions or move the slide to make it play in only 2 dimensions. Finally, you now have real confirmation. We bought this as a Christmas gift and on Christmas day it was inserted into an actual 2DS player console and it works and plays fine! No more guessing or suppositions.

> 24 hourI bought this for my now 8 year old cousin for his birthday, its the main thing he asked for. When he got it he was so happy, he played all the time. Now I dont see him playing much(after a month) I think its getting too hard perhaps, or maybe he just doesnt like reading the words on the game haha. If he was a little bit older I think he would appreciate it more.

> 24 hourAs someone who is 24 and played the original Sapphire game, I think Alpha Sapphire is even better hands-down. I like what Game Freak did with the exp. share compared to past generations, and I like some of the character makeovers (such as Matt and the rest of Team Aqua). One complaint that I do have about this game is that it left out the character customization that was available in X and Y. I was baffled by Game Freaks decision to do this. When I was playing X, I actually felt like I could relate to the protagonist of the story. One thing that OR/AS has on X/Y, though, is that the post game is much deeper. X and Y felt somewhat rushed and as if it catered exclusively to competitive battlers.

> 24 hourI had the original Sapphire and Emerald when they first came out--Emerald was my favorite game in the Pokemon series until X and Y, so I was a bit nervous to hear they were re-releasing that it was going to be like Leaf Green--new Pokemon but not much new content. NO. WAY. Theres SO much to do, the storyline is a bit different, and I still havent finished even weeks later. SOOOO GOOD. Am probably going to go back and buy ORuby because Im greedy for more. <3

> 24 hourIm happy and excited to get this physical copy, but I intentionally chose this option which was priced $6 higher than the world edition copy. I thought I was paying a bit more to get the NA edition, since theres no world edition circle on the image for this posting. Im not returning it since $6 isnt a huge difference, but Im disappointed for not getting the NA version.

> 24 hourI specifically chose this listing over others the product image did not show the UAE symbol on amazon. It was more expensive than the other listings I saw but I was willing to pay more for the official one. It was completely wrong, there are three different region codes represented in this product. Ive compared the cartridge with my other games very closely and it does seem to be legitimate, but Im still kind of upset the box is clearly not the original box. Im not opposed to used games but please just tell me up front so I know what Im buying.

> 24 hourWhat can be said about this game? Well, for a starter Ill preface that even though its a remake, its one of the best games Ive ever played in my life, if not the best. The story is still classic, it takes a lot of influence from the original Sapphire game but updates it a little, giving new, impressive designs to the characters and making them even more memorable than before. Every single one has a distinct personality and its wonderful to see these characters grow and change. New characters have been added too, as well as a brand new arc at the end of the game, after youve beaten the champion. That story was so game-changing it really solidified the game for me. Let me put the new content like this: you get to capture Rayquaza, Mega Evolve him, ridE HIM INTO SPACE AND USE HIM TO DESTROY A METEOR THATS HEADING FOR THE EARTH AND HOLY WOW HOW MUCH COOLER DOES IT GET THAN THAT?? This is one of the times where the 3D capabilities of the 3DS has been really great, really functional, and it isnt used 24/7 so it doesnt make your head hurt. The graphics are cute and appealing and amazingly well detailed. Its a beautiful game. It really, really is. The grass ripples in the wind, the waters beautifully done (and for a game centered around water thats pretty important!), the space scene is absolutely breathtaking. When you battle your Pokemon under some conditions it adds special effects like raindrops falling on the touch screen, its a nice touch really. You can tell how much effort the designers must have put into it its a really, really well put together game. The music was one of the best parts for me. Hearing that nostalgic tune modernised for the new technology took my breath away and, Im gonna be completely honest here, I cried at the beginning when the game started (purely nostalgia) and when the game ended. Twice. The music is so moving and it works so well with whats going on. Game wants you to feel pumped? The scores loaded with electric guitars and sic tunes. Game wants you to feel nervous? Violins and tense tunes. Game wants you to feel warm, cosy and comfortable? I didnt think it was possible to improve the original Littleroot theme, but I was proven so, so wrong. Its gorgeous. The overall feel I got from this game was that it was a lot more thought through than the other games in its generation (X&Y), it felt a lot more linear but without feeling limited. Theres so much to do but at no point do you feel overwhelmed, you can take it all at your own pace, whether you wanna challenge the gym, enter a contest or just play with your Pokemon in Pokemon Amie, a feature which I am so, so grateful they kept in the game. I really cannot overstate the little things in this game enough, just the smallest nuances that make you feel all warm and happy inside, seeing the characters you undoubtedly fall in love with learn and grow and go through emotions (if you dont think I cried when Archie cried youre mistaken) its just a smorgasbord of good writing, good programming and good game design. A perfect example of how to properly and perfectly remake a game. IN CONCLUSION: DO YOU LIKE POKEMON? YES? BUY THIS GAME. HAVE YOU NEVER PLAYED POKEMON? YES? GOOD, BUY THIS GAME AND JOIN THE HYPE. THIS GAME IS FUN AND GORGEOUS AND EMOTIONAL AND UTTER PERFECTION AND I WILL BE PLAYING IT FOR YEARS TO COME. THANK YOU GAME FREAK ♥♥♥
