> 24 hourI played the original when it came out in 2003. The world within Alpha Sapphire evokes every bit of nostalgia I had hoped it would. Chances are you already acquainted with Pokemon and how they work. So I’ll spare you a lengthy introduction to the world of Pokemon ala Prof. Oak. There are new features that enhance the gaming experience as well as the replayability factor. There are new dexNav modes that allow you to search for specific pokemon, and doubles as a sort of minigame in finding all the pokemon in an area. Mirage islands provide an excellent area for training as well as finding new pokemon. It may just be me but I found that more pokemon from Johto are more prominent than before — which is a huge plus for me as its my favorite generation. It’s an excellent entry in the series, and a great starting point for beginners.

> 24 hourI am very happy with this remake. I loved Pokemon as a kid and still do in my adulthood. Alpha Sapphire does a great job retelling the store of the third generation with a nicely updated graphical style from the seventh generation games. There are some new things and enough changes to keep the game fresh, while still staying true to the originals so that a returning player can reminisce and remember the fun times had on their Gameboy Advance years ago. Definitely a great game for new and returning players alike.

> 24 hourI specifically chose this listing over others the product image did not show the UAE symbol on amazon. It was more expensive than the other listings I saw but I was willing to pay more for the official one. It was completely wrong, there are three different region codes represented in this product. Ive compared the cartridge with my other games very closely and it does seem to be legitimate, but Im still kind of upset the box is clearly not the original box. Im not opposed to used games but please just tell me up front so I know what Im buying.

> 24 hourgame is a 5 star the 3 star review is because the version I purchased was the US/Canada one but they sent me the U.A.E./Saudi Arabia/Malaysia/Singapore version this will work in the US/Canada but is not the same or worth the same amount.

> 24 hourI never played the original Alpha Sapphire game on GBA, but this remake on 3DS is great. The adventure is your standard Pokemon adventure where you get a starter Pokemon that you battle with to catch more and more Pokemon. There are a total of 8 gyms, which come with a few easy puzzles to solve, pretty standard stuff. Ive played at least 10 different Pokemon games all the way through from the original Blue Version, Yellow Version, Gold, Silver, and Crystal versions. I also played Diamond, Heart Gold, and Soul Silver, and Pokemon X. If youre looking for an adventure that will be fun and give you a dose of good old Pokemon adventure time this is a great title. It took me 18.5 hours to finish the game all the way through, so there is a great amount of value to be had here. I bought this game for $30 so that is $1.62 per hour of entertainment.

> 24 hourPros: - Great nostalgia that takes players new and old through one of the best region in the series. - Brings back the beautiful 3D graphics from X/Y with visual upgrades to some old mechanics from R/S/E. - The new Eon Pokemon flying system is amazing although I fell they should have allowed all the appropriately sized Pokemon that knows Fly to also use the system. - You get access to a ton of Legendary Pokemon in-game so you dont have to do tons of trading or go to Gamestops for events. Cons: - Perhaps the greatest disappointment for me in AS/OR is the lack of character customization. How could you incorporate such a fun element into Pokemon X/Y and then take that feature out in the next released game? - The presentation of the Pokemon Contests and their animations is a little lackluster. It still uses the same boring presentation as R/S/E. - Where the hell is the Battle Frontier? This is AS/OR, not X/Y. The Battle Maison/Resort cant replace the Battle Frontier. They could have made an awesome Battle Frontier experience but instead made the Delta Episode with the stupid Rayquaza+Deoxys fight that had no save in between. - Cosplay Pikachu...No offense to Pikachu fans, but I wish Gamefreak would stop shoving it down our throats.

> 24 hourI get to re-live my childhood once again! When I was little, Pokemon Sapphire was my first game (my little sister had Pokemon Ruby) and now I get to play the remake in a whole new way! I just like everything about this remake and I also like the feature that you can join with others online at anytime instead of being interrupted during your gameplay (that happens when you play Pokemon X & Y). The gameplay redesign is fantastic and I love that you can interact with your pocket monsters & I also like that the Exp. Share works with all the Pokemon in your party (makes training a whole lot easier). This game is definitely worth getting and I would also suggest getting the guide book too. Tons of fun! Way to go Nintendo! Now lets see a 3DS release of Pokemon Yellow.

> 24 hourIm a seasoned Pokemon player, having played every game from Yellow up to Black 2 and White 2. After a few years away from the Pokemon community, I was excited to hear that Nintendo was re-making Ruby and Sapphire, easily my favorite generation of Pokemon games. Having missed playing Pokemon X and Y, Alpha Sapphire was my introduction to the stunning new 3D battle and world graphics akin to the old Stadium games. I had a fantastic time playing through the main storyline and the additional Delta Mission. At the moment, Ive made it my goal to go back through the game and complete all of the side quests. Definitely a must-have for beginners and old-timers!
