the product was delivered on time but i got used to the changes found in the newer games. but i like that it’s all 1st gen

The game arrived on time, and soon it was the first Pokemon game Ive ever finished. I love that you dont have to battle to catch new Pokemon and the linkup to Pokemon Go is fantastic.

Game case showed up without the game. Wouldnt let me put 0 stars.

The game is boring, the story is boring, the whole thing is just an annoying grindfest.

Very nice graphics and gameplay, but the storyline is standard run-of-the-mill Pokemon fare, though. The control scheme can also take some getting used to (in tv mode you use only one joycon to manuever but in handheld mode you control in game actions normally with both; in each, motion control plays the significant part in catching Pokemon). Still, this is a very fun game to play and will be enjoyed by Pokemon fans and enthusiasts of all ages.

This game will force you into battles that you cant give up or walk away from that you have no hope of winning. If you dare try to quit the game to reset to before the encounter, theres no auto save feature so you lose all progress you didnt manually save. Add to that tons of unskippable cutscenes, dialog boxes that take forever to dismiss, and this game is a giant waste of time. Seriously, I dont want to see an attack animation for the millionth time! The programmers should be ashamed.

As a person who played the original Pokémon upon release I don’t know why ppl hate this game so much. It’s fun! Sure the catch mechanics are different but most ppl don’t catch them all anyway. This is a great revisit to the Kanto region. As a gen 1 vet I approve. Btw all Pokémon games are easy

Bought this as a gift for my niece, I have it too. Its a lot of fun and a great starter game for younger gamers.

I only give it 4 stars for one reason. I liked in the original games how when you find wild Pokemon, you fight them and then try to catch them if you want. In this you just try to catch them or run away. I think there is a sword and shield pokemon game for switch as well that is more old school in that you fight the wild pokemon when you encounter them. You do fight pokemon in this still obviously but only with the trainers you run into while you are getting all the badges and what not. Very cute game with nice graphics.

So happy to get it. No damages to the game
