This has changed my nightly routine, I do not have to scrub my retainer every night, I just use one of these about 15 minutes before I’m ready for bed and my retainer is sparkly clean! I occasionally have to brush it afterwards but usually it gets clean by it’s self with these tablets.

My husband has worn a night guard for about 3 years due to bruxism (grinding his teeth). His dentist advised him to clean it once a week with dish liquid and a soft brush and on other days to rinse it before putting in the case. Over the years the guard has become stained and my husband hates the night after the soap cleaning because there is a little residual flavor :( This Polident ProGuard & Retainer cleaners were just what we were looking for - something easy to use and would hopefully clean away the stains since it advertised crystal clear and “lifts stains, removes discoloration”. Well, they are very easy to use - just unwrap a tablet, pop it in a bit of warm water and then let your guard sit in the solution for 3-5 minutes and brush it off. As far as the stain removal, it didn’t do a miracle, removing old set in stains. For that you’d need a lot of manual labor - using this solution with an electric toothbrush helps a bit.. I suspect that if you have a new appliance, it will stay clear but if you’re trying to revive a yucky discolored one you will have mixed results. Although, you do have to be careful so you don’t damage your appliance. As far as the taste, this is minty, smells good, and doesn’t leave a gross flavor after cleaning. Hopefully they also kill off any bacteria / germs as advertised. I like that this comes in individually portioned packs so they don’t react with moisture in the air. I also like how many come in a pack (120 / 4 months supply). They are quite a good value at less than $5 a month at current cost. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend use of these on aligners, retainers, Invisalign’s, etc because they are non-abrasive. You could also use them to clean out your waterpik, electric toothbrush, etc. Overall, we’re disappointed that they weren’t a miracle cure but really we shouldn’t have expected it. They do help, it’s just a shame that we didn’t use these from the start with his guard. Theyre easy to use and seem to do a good job.

Cleans better than Breelex. It’s not as harsh and doesn’t leave aligners slippery from the chemicals. This makes rinsing much faster.

I have clear retainers that I wear daily to bed. Generally, I clean them manually once a day and use heavy-duty effervescent cleaners once a month. This is the perfect in-between for me. It leaves my retainers feeling clean, but it’s not so harsh that I worry it will damage them with daily use. The best thing about these cleaning tablets is the smell. They leave a wonderful and clean minty scent on my retainers that doesn’t gross me out. Other cleaning tablets that I have used in the past have smelled like chemical or cleaner. This just smells clean and fresh. Additionally, they’re super easy to use. Drop one into some warm water and plunk your retainers in. Finish brushing your teeth and hair and you’re good to go. Overall, for the current asking price of around $18 for 120 tablets, these are an amazing value. That’s far more affordable than the stronger tablets and it is much less abrasive and damaging. I would highly recommend these to anyone with clear retainers. They leave them feeling fresh and clean every single day.

Great item! Comes in 3 boxes of 40 tablets so 4 months worth of cleaning if used daily = $6 a month. I have no way to verify that bacteria is killed, so you have to trust it. It is easy to use, 3-5 minute soak. If youre extra, let it soak longer. I keep a box in each of the bathrooms so I have it no matter where I am so it is more convenient for me this way. I use these for all dental products, toothbrush heads, waterpik tips, toothbrush caps/covers, night guards......I even soaked my dogs eye combs in this. easy.

These work great. I have a retainer Ive been wearing since I finished Invisalign. This cleaner gets them almost new looking in only a few minutes.

I definitely feel like this does a better job at cleaning my retainer than the denture tablets ever did. Not as good as retainer bright, but more affordable for everyday cleaning.
