Purpose Gentle Cleansing Bar, 6-Ounce Bars (Pack of 6)

I was introduced to this product by my spouse. It works great on my combination skin type. It rinses clean and doesn’t dry out my face more than it would naturally. The bars are hard to find in-store, so Amazon to the rescue with on-time shipments.

I started using Purpose as a teenager when my dermatologist recommended it. It wasnt just the bad acne, but I was getting my pores blocked so badly I was getting a few cysts forming under my skin. It was cleaning diligently, but I was using other soaps. So I switched to Purpose and never went back. My skin got better and the cysts never returned. Its a plain, simple bar. No perfumes, no fancy dyes. Its just good soap. So Ive been using it for about 30 years now and have never switched. Its not that Im afraid my skin will go bad again. Its just that Purpose has never given me any reason to switch. Plain, simple, works.

Amazons vendors have been a great source for Purpose bar soap. I am no longer able to find this soap in our local stores. The 6 oz. bars are excellent as they last me between 19-21 days.

I have had oily skin my entire life. I used Pro-Active as a teen. As I matured, my skin did as well. The Pro-Active started drying my face out too much as I entered my 20’s. I still had acne-prone skin and regular face soaps didn’t stop the acne or dried the skin too much. I asked my doctor what he recommended. He suggested Purpose. I have used the bar soap now for 20+ years. As long a I don’t skip a washing, my skin is acne-free and moist. My skin is sensitive and can burn (or get a rash) with some soaps. For this reason, I use purpose also on the rest of the body. I have never had a reaction to this soap. It lathers up well enough that I used it for shaving as well. I highly recommend Purpose.

Great gentle soap, my grocery store has stopped stocking it, so glad I found this supply on Amazon, will not need any new ones for a while!

My dermatologist recommended this soap for my facial cleansing and bathing. I have used it for years And love it but can’t always find this larger size in stores. It is great to be able to buy in bulk through Amazon.

I have been using (Johnson & Johnson) Purpose Soap for well over 25 years for my face. It can be used on all body parts, however, I keep it specifically for my face as I wash my face twice a day with it and it rinses clean and does not irritate. I will continue to purchase it although I do understand it is being made under other than Johnson & Johnson. The package, however, arrived taped and was partially open--although the contents were intact. The packaging could be improved.

Have used for years, best soap I have found for acne prone combination skin.

I have particularly sensitive skin and Ive tried the expensive cleansers, cheap soap, and other stuffs from the health food store, but they either leave a nasty film on my skin or make me break out. I keep coming back to this plus my aveeno lotion. It seems to be the only combination that will keep my annoying adult acne under control and not strip the moisture from the delicate skin on my cheeks and under eyes. Im almost to the point where I just set up a regular order of these cleansing bars to come to my house so I dont ever have to worry about running out. Highly recommend.
