I’m back with Another lovely Elena Essex puzzle. Same complaints as usual. This is the 4th puzzle I’ve done by her. The images are GORGEOUS. The pieces themselves are decent enough quality. This one was better than others. Only two warped and peeling pieces this time. Since the pattern is so distinct, there weren’t as many false fits as usual, but there were still some. My biggest complaint is that the pieces don’t stay together well. I did this puzzle mostly by animal, so transferring them to where they belonged was pretty annoying since each section would fall apart. 3.5/5. The image is BEAUTIFUL, but puzzle quality and fit is not worth the price, IMO. But dang those images are gorgeous.

My husband and I love putting puzzles together but although fun, this one requires use of a flashlight to distinguish between the dark shades in the lowest 1/4. We should have heeded the warnings of the other commenters!

Just beautiful! So enjoyable to scrutinize the graphics. Loved it. Challenging in a good way.

Picture is fun to assemble, pieces are unique, colors are vibrant, no dust, fit is perfect, need good lighting for the darker colors but still relatively easy, very enjoyable puzzle to work.

I really enjoyed building this puzzle. Everything about it is really high quality, from the puzzles pieces themselves, to the included color print of the puzzle, to the box it is packaged in. The colors are gorgeous, as is the illustration. Highly recommend!

Box: Sturdy, with clear bright images on front and back. Poster: Full-color poster included. The colors in the reference poster are true to the puzzle pieces. Pieces: Matte finish (yay!), sturdy. Very round knobs, which I love. Clear monogamous fit. Just the right amount of snug for it to pass the pickup challenge, but not so tight that they were wedged in place. This is actually really important for a puzzle with a dark background because if you have to pry pieces apart, it can lead to peeling which is very obvious against the black background. Background: Despite having a black background, there were only about two or three pieces in the entire puzzle that were solid black. The animals fill the space so well! Gradient: O.M.G. This is my favorite gradient Ive ever done. I love animals and rainbows! The perfect combination of the two. I saved the last and darkest section for the morning when I had good daylight. That section is quite dark, though not as challenging as I feared. Each animal has distinct patterning that makes it easier to determine where pieces go. And it was only the last three rows. I sorted by shape and it took me about 10-15 minutes. Dust: None. As in zero. As in hallelujah. TLDR: Buy. This. Puzzle. It is beautiful, fun, unique, and delightful!
