> 24 hourInitially, I purchased a few to try on my gates and upon installing wondered how I never did without. I immediately purchased enough for all my gates in every pasture. It truly makes gate operation one handed.

> 24 hourThis latch is known to me as the kiwi latch. It used to be sold locally, but not anymore. It doesnt freeze shut, if a post shifts you can still use it, horses cannot get it open (not even our resident houdini), easy one handed use, very hard to break. This model came with a decent chain as well. We do not use the included u staples, but instead sturdy eyelets. To use the latch, just drop it straight in the eyelet to latch the gate. To open it, flip the ring up and lift. Super simple. Ive seen horses hit a gate hard enough to pull those u staples right out. There are different ways to attach it to a post: Use a screw/bolt and washer into wood gates, wrap the chain around the tube gate and use a spin latch to secure it, or use a chain link fence brace band or tension band (I used the tension bands to have the chain further from the gate- less noise) and bolt the latch chain to the band. One of the photos hides the eyelet that is secured in a 6 inch post. The white in front is an arbor we have on the human side of the gate.

> 24 hourLatch and ring are heavier than others we have purchased. Chain and fastening bolt also of good quality material.

> 24 hourNot as heavy duty as what I had, but the exact same design and works with no issue. Seems a little pricey but does the job.
