This socket arm really clamps down on the ball that I also purchased to hold down my bow mount shaft...it works perfectly and I would recommend it for any application where a positive clamping is needed.

The only reason I’m getting the C size is because the B size which is the 1” ball doesn’t last long when I use it with a longer arm double socket. After a year or so of use, the ball component gets crushed looking like a deflated ball. I’ve used it for my iPad and now iPhone as soon as I buy the C size X-grip.

Dont waste your money. Buy the standard arms. As many as needed.

I use it to mount my fish finder. I take it off and on my kayak every time I go out. It goes on and off quickly and holds it exactly where I want it with no movement whatsoever.

Just so everyone understands, because it is NOT in the product description, and please dont say it is in your list of photos, because you can not read it.... go figure. This is NOT RAM mount standard sizing. RAM Mount standard size is 1 ball. This one is a 1-1/2 ball, you know for my trailer hitch. This is not for typical use with gps unit, tablets or phones for any vehicle. This is another horrible purchase because I was in a hurry and these people cant put ball SIZE IN THE DESCRIPTION !!! More wasteful purchasing ,what an absolute waste of money.
