i am still having problem with the sensor detection settings , too may false alarms , but apart from that i like the system

The mvr I think its called do not show all the cameras at once like it suppose to however after a reboot it works fine for the most part the cameras are stellar..

So, I bought a Reolink NVR and 8 cameras in late 2016 when we built out house. To date, I have replaced 9 cameras. Yes, 9. When the first one died at about 2 years I really didnt think much of it. Then over the next six months or so I ended up replacing the rest. Now those are getting old enough that they too are starting to die one by one. I guess in the grand scheme of things I should have thrown in the towel several cameras ago and gone with a completely different system. But I already had the initial investment, plus the replacements costs over the last six years. So I just keep replacing the cameras when they go out. I do find it humorous that they end up lasting just long enough for the 3rd party Asurion protection plan to expire. Definition of insanity, doing something over and over and expecting different results.

The system was easy to install and the quality is very good. I installed four cameras outside. All worked very well. But one stopped because the connection got wet and rusted. I decided to repair the cameras female ethernet connector. When I spliced it, I discovered it had only 6 wires versus the standard eight. Plus, two of the wires were non-standard colors. I reached out to customer service and got an immediate reply from Arielle with color-coding instructions. I installed a male connector and used a female-to-female waterproof connector and it worked perfectly. If Arielles customer service is typical for Reolink, I give them 5 stars for service too. Much better than my previous experience with another brand.

Purchased 2 of these to go with the Reolink System I bought. Very good quality housing and very clear video.

I have several of these cameras and I like them they are good value and a good quality for the price. I needed to add an additional camera so I just received this one and even though it the same model number the base is different. The older ones have one hex screw that you loosen and you can adjust the camera , very convenient. The one I just received has what I can only call a giant wing nut that you loosen to adjust the camera. I guess it’s not a big deal but the older one with the hex screw I like better and it feels sturdier.

NVR products are the way to go. Easy to install and maintain, without sacrificing serve ability.
