> 24 hourWhen living at extreme latitude , the temperatures can reach to -20 F. As the metal contracts to these temps the valves on my standby generator dont have enough clearance to start. A ceramic out door light fixture mounted inside the cabinet, pointed at the cylinder head ,controlled by a Thurmo cube did the trick. Will and a way.

> 24 hourI was quit amazed by this ceramic light bulb I didn’t realized that it gets extremely hot. So be careful handling while it’s on. Great light and is doing the purpose it is intended to do with our lizards

> 24 hourGreat for snakes. Put in cheap aluminum hanging-type fixture and set right on top of habitat. Just the right amount of IR warming. No light so I can finally get some sleep.

> 24 hourHave the 60 watt version, just came up on the 6 month mark and its still going strong. Use it on my chaiwallahs crate, because of the AC I run this year round. She likes it about 75F and I like it about 68. So she has a place to go warm up if shes feeling a chill. Im using a plastic socket with a metal reflector with no issue. I have it on top of her crate not inside it so if it were to fall apart the hot bulb would drop about a half an inch then be stopped by the metal bars of the crate. No risk to her, and not going to ignite her bedding. Prior to this I was using a 75 watt lightbulb which she liked but the constant light I figured probably didnt help her sleep. The two cats also take advantage of it especially during the winter.

> 24 hourIt was good while it lasted. Had to buy one at the local animal store after 1 month with the bulb offer during the night. It died too soon

> 24 hourBest product so far for keeping my girls from freezing. I have a 60 watt about 3 feet from the floor and a 70 suspended from the loft. Its 20 degrees outside but 40 & above inside. no more worrying about fires (from incandescent bulbs) and their water doesnt freeze overnyte.
