Perfect for our Monarch butterfly project this fall. Easy to access and change out the leaves as well as clean the bottom. Grab a Monarch butterfly book to go along with it but it does give you some directions. It will make a good habitat next year too. Easy to make compact for storage. Its a net, so be careful with it, but it is more than sturdy enough for it’s use.

Butterfly habitat perfect for temporarily housing our caterpillars while cocooned until we can release them as butterflies.

Ordered in the Spring and didnt get a chance to use this this year. I was just putting summer items away for the winter and realized that the opening on the side for your hand has no zipper! Missed my window to return!

I had two fairly good sized monarch caterpillars. When I put the milkweed and caterpillars inside of the butterfly cage, my students and I could not see the caterpillars. The mesh made visibility too difficult for viewing.

It was getting cold in Florida and I noticed 3 caterpillars on our milkweed. I cut the milkweed, added some fresh, and brought the caterpillars indoors in our new butterfly habitat. I released them in stages once out of cocoon. I only do this if temperatures are going to plummet as I have butterfly gardens in our yard. I like the habitat.

I raise hornworms and I put a handful of older ones in here and within 24 hours they were all dead!

Great product! It is very easy to use and see through. I love the door near the bottom to clean easily and feed thru without disturbing the cocoons on top. I would recommend it.
