It feels great to type on and looks really nice with the RGB. The knob used to switch devices is a cute touch that gives it more of a retro look to me, as opposed to other keyboards I own that just have secondary key functions to do the same thing. The gasket mounting is there...but its really not noticeable unless you use a LOT of force when typing. I cant say if it was the gasket mounting or not, but it does sound a lot nicer (less sharp of a sound profile) than the other keyboard I own of the same brand without gasket mounting. The case is plastic, but the molding is well done and it feels very sturdy. It is a little annoying to open up the keyboard to do some more in depth mods beyond just removing the switches, and that was a bit of the appeal to me, a keyboard on the cheaper side you can play around with. However, its still totally doable to really open it up I just wish the screws were easier to get to. All in all, a pretty decent budget keyboard for those who want to experience one or play around with one.

The keyboard looks fantastic. It has a greyish base with an interesting retro shape -- which is very reminisisent of older computers. The base is plastic, but feels well made. The knob on the top right also has a cool retro look. The keycaps are a mix of a dark steely grey, white and grey. The keycaps have the function legends on the bottom of the keycaps which makes them look clean. The keycaps arent shine through, but look real good. No additional vanity keycaps though. This is my first experience with RKs own switches. They arent bad at all. They type, sound and feel good. It has a real good sound without any mods. The gasket mounted plate seems to make a big difference too. I dont hear much rattling and no springy sound with the space bar. The 75% keyboards usually have all the important keys while keeping it compact. Though the layout is a bit weird. Theres a pause key but no dedicated home key. And the home and end keys that are provided via the Fn button are oddly far away from each other. Feel like they should have made home and end dedicated keys and removed Pause. Couldnt find a way to remap the keys. Both Bluetooth and the 2.4 modes work on my Mac Book -- I dont notice any delay or lag when doing basic typing tasks. The 2.4 adapter also has its own dedicated slot under the keyboard for safe keeping which is wonderful. The slot if magnetic. No worries about losing the adapter. Other things to notice it has an extra usb slot that can be used as a hub, and it comes with some extra switches. Noticing something the keyboard isnt responsive when using the wired mode and I need to plug and unplug the cable. I had it happen a few times, and not sure whats causing it. Ive also had the keyboard lag-a-bit and then get stuck pressing a key. Again reseating the cable fixed this. These issues seem to be rare, but thought Id point it out.

For 80$, this retro looking keyboard is a steal! It has a good sound tempering, budget switches, hot-swap 3/5 pin board and double-shot cherry pbt keycaps! Out of box sound is amazing. Pretty decent wireless connectivity (BT + 2.4G) with good battery life. I only didnt like mode changing knob. It could be moved to the under of the keyboard and they could add volume knob instead of it.

I love this keyboard. SO. MUCH. And for that price..... Whats not to love?! Its such good quality. Especially if you are just looking for a keyboard base. I have changed the caps & switches on this one 3 times already. The keyboard is amazing without any modifications. The led lights are bright & have no issues. If you like clicky keys you will like this keyboard. I feel like I got the same quality keyboard as a fancy $150-$300 keyboard.

One of the keyboards I owned the longest was a compact AT keyboard with a phone cord-style cable, but when it reached the point where I had to use a ridiculous combination of adapters to use, it was time to retire it. It was also very heavy for the size. This keyboard reminds me of that in styling. The off-white base, the different color keys, the big switch, the side vents. I’m a fan of Royal Kludge’s SkyCyan linear switches, I find them to be a very nice pre-lubed switch. I have other Royal Kludge keyboards and using the function key + QWE to switch between Bluetooth modes is convenient, but this big switch is more convenient, especially since it includes an Off option which is obscured on my other RK keyboards. If you’re going for a modern white setup, this keyboard won’t quite match as the white on this keyboard is not that bright. I included a picture of my RK84 Pro for comparison. Also, the keycaps do not shine through, so they are not as visible in the dark. Lastly, the spacebar seems really loud, I’ll probably have to mod it. Otherwise, it is a great 80% keyboard.

Just a disclaimer, this is my first mechanical keyboard. This thing feels solid and types so smoothly, input for gaming is instant. I am using it in wired mode which would be best for gaming but if you want you can use Bluetooth or wireless connectivity for 3 devices. Just turn the knob to the number and it swaps over. The lighting is amazing, especially since I was using a single colored full size board before. Lots of modes and you can change between single colors and rgb. Ill update if I have any issues but so far this is close to perfect. The space bar is louder than the other keys so I might look into an insert to dampen sound but thats it.
