> 3 daySadly, this program is not working on my computer and gives me an error message every time I try to use it - stating I do not meet the requirements and my computer does in fact meet all said requirements to run the software.

Greater than one weekThe disk arrives in a thin box which also contains a card with the serial/registration number. Nothing else. No documentation. The in-program documentation is poor and the support from Corel is all offshore and VERY POOR both in accessibility and content. The software works OK once you have figured it out by (extensive) trial and error. I still have an issue (naming/labelling DVD chapters) that I havent solved. NO help from support.

> 3 dayBeware Roxio NXT 8 and Paintshop have performance issues. Slow, freeze ups. I discovered after buying first Paintshop 2021 for windows 10, very slow freezing up at time, then saw in the software, C++ version 2012. What I believe Corel is doing is using basically the same software (e.g., Old Roxio media Creator suites, very old Paintshop) made 10+ years ago and just doing minimum patch work to barely get by so it will work on todays window 10 computers for quick sales. Thats why there are so many performance issues I had and so many others. It is misleading and dishonest. Corel needs to do a complete programming overhaul on these software with updated programing code versions. Instead of doing the minimum so not have to invest in rewriting the software so it is truly compatible with todays systems as they advertise. Software is not fully compatible, that is why there are problems. Its like the old trick of cleaning and painting the engine of an old used care so you dont see the oil leaks. Very disrespectful. Giving old crap and selling it as new. Sleezy!

> 3 dayPro’s: • Good burning software with lots of additional software included on the disk • Roxio makes decent performing software and this Creator software is no exception • There are a ton of different video and audio formats you can use for both input and output which is nice. In the past I’ve had to use several programs to complete what this one program does Con’s: • Not a big con but the annoying part of the initial install is that I had to interact way too much during the install process and some of the installs did not complete the first time so I had to make multiple passes at it to get the programs installed Final thoughts: If you do any burning or copying of DVD’s or CD’s then this might be a solid option to handle those tasks. You can also do other tasks like editing and authoring DVD’s, CD’s and home movies but I didn’t dive in to that yet. I received this software for free as part of the Vine program but feel I’ve given it a fair unbiased review. I’ll come back to update my review if anything changes my opinion.

> 3 dayI was first drawn to this software because creating, manipulating and burning DVDs is often a challenge with freeware or budget software packages. I have used Roxio products in the past – usually the free package that is provided with new DVD burners. The Creator Suite has far more capability and options to really make your disks look professionally done. It is a complete suite of media manipulation software from images to video. You can modify video or pictures in a thousand creative ways. From there, you can make your own DVDs or upload to social media. It even allows you to work with the sound track. The software is fairly easy to use and mostly intuitive enough to work with without much direction. While Lightscribe technology (the ability to “burn” a label onto specially prepared disks) has faded from the forefront, I still use it on some of my disks. I was disappointed to see it missing from this software, and happy that I still have an older copy of Roxio software that has the feature built-in. I find this software a good value and worth purchasing, but there are several things to be mindful of. The Pro package itself is technically a suite, with numerous apps started from a single interface, but there are a lot of extras included that all install in other places. I found programs located in at least 4 different folders on my start menu. It is hard to get a handle on what was actually installed and where it is located. I also found the install difficult, with problems (crashes) as it installed and little information on how to ensure all of the extra programs were installed. I’m glad I have a pretty good familiarity with computers and managed to get everything working. My other peeve is that the extra software programs (like Paintshop Pro) are 2020 version and result in constant advertisements to upgrade to the 2021 version (on brand new software) from the moment you open up the program to when you shut it down. These few issues aside, the package gives you a lot of capability for the money. I did remove one star for the difficulties in the install process, partially because the crashes and partially from the lack of instruction on how to get everything installed. Howver, that aside, it is a great softare package to have on your computer.

> 3 dayRoxio has always made wonderful application suites (we have bought into it so many times throughout the years both here and personally). It has been a long time since we upgraded one of the machines to the latest version of a burning suite since there wasnt any need to (older versions worked just fine as is). We also stopped burning a lot of disks since we no longer rely on disk media for backups due to a very damaging experience with BDR media (we lost TBs of data due to bad disks). However, there is one on our staff that still uses DVD media for various projects both work-related and personal. So we upgraded the machine to the latest with this suite. Things have gotten so much better within the Roxio suite. The inclusion of PSP is a huge step in the kind of direction that competes with companies that offer large creative suites like Adobe (given, this suite is a little all over the place). What you get is fantastic. Normally you have everything from editing, to burning, to labeling. It just feels like you get that plus everything else that randomly falls out of the hat. Again, PSP is a fantastic inclusion as it is one of the strongest competitors to Photoshop. We have a few on our crew that swears by it (its always much more affordable too). Its nice to see HEVC support. It can be surprising that you still run into apps today that dont offer support for HEVC/H.265 yet even though it has been around as long as it has and so many devices support it. It is a fantastic codec that leads to rich lossless video while getting some of the best compression out there. So far it appears to be a fantastic suite of tools and applications. We will make sure to update if we find anything odd about it or anything else we love about it. **If you have found our review helpful, please vote it as helpful below so we know.
