> 24 hourWont even detect an mp4 on your system. Cant burn MKV. Seems to only work with WMV and even then the quality sucks. Dont waste your money on this junk. If I could give a negative star rating it would be -4.

> 24 hourI purchased this Program just about last week of this June and from day 1 had issues burning CD-Rs. I have discussed this issue with several reps from the Corel Company regarding a fix and from my first online contact with their rep its been a freaking nightmare. FIRST the company is based in INDIA which really makes it easy to get through to them and when you do its 20 min of pure BS. It is now going on 2 weeks and still no help. DO yourselves a favor and look for a different burner then this one from the pure stand point of crap customer service. Thbere better and more reliable products then Corels Roxio. It was once a nice program, but like everything these days, NO one gives a dang about customer service, especially those companies based OUT of the USA. BE forewarned.

> 24 hourEasy to install, but had to install a patch for it to be complete (I have windows vista) I dont know if that caused the problem.

> 24 hourSeriously, reading these reviews is making me wonder about which version of this product everyone is using. I am using version 10 and it does work in Windows 7 as well as XP without a problem. I purchased this product as a physical DVD copy at Wal Mart a couple of years ago. I have an Optiarc DVD RW and also an Hp DVD writer that I use when using this product. It also has a decent photo editor and also audio and video capture. Some of the items, which are many, in this product are not self explanatory, for example the movie maker. Any information you need is either under the Help tab or various places around the internet.

> 24 hourI have purchased several Roxio products to burn CD and each one works differently than the last. This is a bit confusing.

> 24 hourItem arrived ahead of schedule and was very good quality. Shipper did an outstanding job and I would recommend both and will deal with the shipper more in the future.

> 24 hourI bought this software cheap ($10) after an instant rebate and mail-in rebate (that should have been a tip off) from a major big-box office retailer. I am running XP Service Pack 3 on a custom built computer with plenty of ability to run such a package. Right now I have Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 installed and it works fine copying, burning and making libraries and projects with CDs and DVDs. I have been happy with this version. However, because its 6 years old, I decided to try a newer Roxio product because I plan to upgrade to Win 7 and thought a newer package would be compatible with the new Windows. My purchase was a big mistake. I am a fairly experienced computer user 20+ years, so I should have known better. Basically, as in most things, you get what you pay for, so the low price should have been a warning. It turns out that this is 3-year old software (2007) and its slow. Yes, I got it to install OK and it removed my Roxio 7 and it was able to use it to copy a CD. However, it has a clunky interface and, in my opinion, is worse than the older product it sort of replaced. Fortunately, I have Rollback 8.0 on my machine (a great 5-star program by the way - its saved me numerous times) and was able to go back to a previous time and got rid of this Roxio product. Now it goes in the trash. After reading reviews of the latest Roxio products, I am going to stay away from all of them.

> 24 hourOMG, I am ignorant. I wish I would have read these reviews BEFORE I went ahead and spent thirtyplusdollars on this program. I bought it with the thought that I was going to be able to create DVDs to play in a regular DVD player. Believe it or not, I have friends who still watch videos on DVD! On the package, it says Videos made easy Create custom DVDs... etc. This led me to belive that I could create actual DVDs with menus, chapters, etc. WRONG!!! When I try to access this feature, the program tells me I need to upgrade!!! WTF???? I just bought this bloody thing and now they want me to spend eightymoredollars in order to do what the package SAYS it can do?????? Bollocks! I call shennanigans!!! Oh yes, I DID find one area where you can make a menu screen and TRY to import media. BUT that is so slow and tedious as to be nearly unusable. Then when the menu finally does load in...after several minutes watching a progress bar...you can do nothing with it. The music they put on it is WAYYY too loud and it can not be muted. You cant even change the music! ...there is no option! I finally did manage to get a few files moved into this decrepit interface and it started looking like I might be able to get something going after all. I started to feel hopeful. So I tried a burn, just to see what would happen. Guess what. It made a coaster!! Totally useless! Again, BOLLOCKS, I say! BTW, my system is an AMD Dual core with 4gigs of RAM and 1.25TB of HD storage. Running win7 64bit. Not a Screaming system by todays standards, but quite capable nonetheless. This software is just not what it claims to be. I am especially unhappy that I paid for a TRIAL VERSION!! I guess they must have seen me coming from a mile away. Yup, I got suckered by this package. Not again though. It has been removed and is on its way to the bin. If there is anything positive about this purchase, it is that I have learned a valuable lesson here: Read the reviews BEFORE buying software! So now my quest continues to find a program that I can use to actually create DVDs for general home use. Surely there must be SOMETHING out there??? ...somewhere??? One thing is certain though: I will surely never buy another Roxio product again. >>>UPDATE Nov 7, 2011<<< Subsequent to writing this review, I have discovered that my PC already has a DVD program built in. Windows Live DVD Maker comes with Windows 7. I have had a lot of success with the Windows software. No, this is not a review of Windows Live DVD Maker. I simply thought Id offer this up as a very viable alternative to this Roxio garbage.
