I have these in 2 sizes and have them in my cockatiels cage and the budgies cage. The budgies use them to access their food dishes. The cockatiel loves her new perch and chooses it over her branch a lot of the time.

My parakeets have a sand perch that has the sand coming off already. Dont want them to ingest the sand, so ordered this. The diameter is good for parakeets but it is way too small. Its hard to tell if it is 100% wood. Anyway, I returned this for the large size.

I really like this item. I bought the small one because I will place it in a carrier when I travel with my budgies.

Great perch for my Senegal Parrot, Sunny! The wood is textured, yet still smooth and soft to the touch, for good comfort and grip. I mounted the perch on the front, outside of the cage, where Sunny can watch television, without obstruction and also have a good view around our house. We leave Sunny’s cage open most of the day (her wings are clipped) and this perch is her favorite place to sit, watch the Food Network, and hang out with the flock. A puppy pee pad, placed in front of the cage means one step cleanup and no mess on the floor.
