SABRENT M.2 NVMe PS5 heatsink (SB-PSHS)

There should be a way to take off the aluminum part of the sabrent heatsink to have a fancy cover if you have one already

I needed a heatsink and wanted one designed with the PS in mind rather than something more generic and this Sabrent one didnt disappoint. I picked up a good deal on a Crucial NVME ssd and this works just fine with that keeping it cool. No complaints a few months down the line!

This works really well. The thermal strip is the right thickness to reach a standard m.2 drive and transfer heat... The whole plate started warming up relatively quickly as I installed and played a game (Mortal Combat X. Replaced cover while playing, then removed again to check afterwards), while the surrounding areas remained cool. Meaning this Sabrent heatsink was effectively drawing heat away from the M.2 SSD. I cant fault Sony too much as thier negative-pressure design works well enough to keep a drive from melting, and allows owners to use a variety of m.2 and heatsink installations. However, this integrated heatsink/cover combines airflow over a larger heat dissipating area, and the stock negative-pressure to remove heat from the drive bay itself.

The screw driver provided striped the SSD spacer screw so I can’t undo it

Seems to work as described also fits perfect in the ps5

Used this for my PS5 storage expansion. Easy to pair with a heatsink, and it does the job. My PS5 games run as if they were on the main console storage. Thumbs up from me.

Been using this for a few months and it’s working great. My PC boots in a couple seconds and programs/games launch basically instantly.

PS5 doesn’t recognize it. And yes, it’s installed correctly.
