> 24 hourThe cloning software from Samsung SUCKS It cloned the data but the drive wouldnt boot havent taken the time to get different software so the drive is sitting on the shelf. Have no doubt the drive is ok and will preform fine once I get it cloned. The 3 stars is for the software performance.

> 24 hourWhen it comes to computer mods, Im a Samsung brand whore. All of my computers the past 3 years have been upgraded to Samsung SSDs. I used a Evo 860 500gb slave in an older laptop with an mSATA Evo 850 as the primary boot drive along with 16GB memory. I also had an Evo 860 250GB as a boot drive in an older Dell tower with a 2TB HGST drive as a slave and 32GB memory. And yet another Dell with an Evo 860 250 with 8GB memory. No failures. No issues. Great speed and performance. Im now building a new tower and will be using either one of my old EVO 860s or a newer 960 M.2 drive. Samsung is all I will ever use when it comes to boot drives, plain and simple.

> 24 hourThe box it came it was marked not for retail sale. If any issues arise with the product, and Samsung will not hold it to the same warranty that would come with a consumer drive, I expect Amazon to fulfill the warranty - as I purchased a consumer drive, but have received a manufacturers version. The drive itself checks out as a genuine Samsung 860 EVO within Samsungs software, so I have no reason to believe it is a counterfeit. The drive itself gets a 5 star rating all around for quality and price. Samsungs SATA SSDs are the standard for the industry. That said, if youre selling not-for-retail-sale manufacturers drives, the price should be marked down, not up. I was unhappy paying a $10 markup thinking I was getting a consumer drive with a consumer warranty. I am very unhappy paying a $10 markup on something that should have been marked down $10 from the going rate. Once more for clarity - If Samsung will not uphold the 5 year limited warranty that comes with the 860 EVO for-sale-to-consumer drive, I expect Amazon to uphold that warranty.
