Installation was a breeze and most motherboards support the socket these cards need to take advantage of the increased boot speeds youll get replacing an older mechanical hard drive. I use this primarily as a OS boot drive and have my game installs located on another. Performance is there and I can see the difference verses older technology. Very happy with my purchase.

It was time to replace that old SSD with something new (SSDs are great but when they do fail I understand that they fail spectacularly and all of a sudden). For peace of mind I wanted a new drive and thought I would go with an NVMe m.2-connected SSD for the claimed speed bonus.

06-04-2025Samsung is synonymous to high quality so the drive itself needs no introduction. Just make sure you are giving it appropriate cooling depending on what you want to install it on. In a high airflow desktop PC with ample space to dissipate heat, it wont need more than the out of the box sticker which is also a cooling pad. If you want to install it on a laptop or a PlayStation 5, then you may need something better.

> 3 dayEasy to install on my PS5 that goes hand-in-hand with Sony and Samsung! Fits perfectly and runs smooth like butter! Absolutely no issues with transferring files after the formatting. I even noticed that even though it’s a 1tb ssd once it was formatted it listed it as 1.1tb. Don’t know if I was lucky or that’s standard. If that’s standard that’s awesome cause it gives you a little extra breathing room! Also not sure if I should’ve stepped it up to the 2tb but either way I am sure both options are solid!
