    I got this 1TB external hard drive to transfer data from my old 2016 MacBook Pro to my new 2022 MacBook Air. The old computer was maxed out at 512GB, and the new unit has 1TB of memory. This product has a USB-C cord and comes with a USB-C-to-USB-A adapter so I could transfer seamlessly. I ran the Time Machine backup program to back up the old computer to this hard drive — it looked like it would take a few hours so I let it run overnight. In the morning, I removed the adapter and plugged in the SSD with the USB-C cable to my new computer and used the step-by-step guide that was on the Apple website, and it only took about 15 minutes to transfer all the data! I highly recommend this SSD if you need to transfer data between machines or as a high-capacity storage. The size alone makes it easy and portable, and it comes with a little carabiner clip so you dont lose it.
