> 24 hourI love these G drives. However, do not be disappointed to find out later that it’s large capacity requires it to take up on its own 1.5 TB of its 18TB to function and same goes for the 6TB we got for the business it ate up 1 plus TB so that one is 4.6TB or so will be the usable number available for storage. I think in all fairness Sandisk should allocate that usable and necessary programming software and add the space in addition to the 6 TB and 18 TB that are being purchased for use. At the very least a notice to would-be consumers that advises that they will not have the full 6TB or 18TB capacity of storage that are purchasing.

> 24 hourI specifically bought this expensive external hard drive to edit videos with my Mac Pro 2019. I am very disappointed with the response of the drive...It takes minutes to read each video and has made my work slow and more difficult. If you need a drive to create high quality content dont waist your money on this. The computer is not the problem, here are my computer specs: 3.5 GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon W 48 GB 2666 MHz DDR4 AMD Radeon Pro 580X 8 GB

> 24 hourI own several hard drives including RAID sets. This SanDisk drive has great storage, but it is the loudest and hottest drive I own. The clicking/clacking is intermittent but loud. The drive does not appear to have a fan, and all sides of the metal case get hot. A drive costing over $700 should be of better quality!

> 24 hourI HAVE YELLED SO MUCH AT THIS DRIVE! I edit 4k footage in Premiere. It is converted into Apple Prores LT, not even HQ. I only have 3 lines of video in the timeline and 5 lines of audio. This drive cannot keep up with the editing. EVERY TIME I PUSH PLAY, IT GLITCHES AND FREEZES ON FRAMES AND AUDIO AND CATCHES UP. IT DOES THIS ABOUT EVERY 15 SECONDS BUT ALWAYS WHEN YOU PUSH PLAY IN THE BEGINNING. its so annoying. This drive sucks. I think it might because of this SANDISK model. I have other G drives that do not have SANDISK attached to its name and I have no problems. I hate this drive.
