Greater than one weekThis product is the best way to prevent your fish from dying due to new tank syndrome. Establishes the bio filter. Get this, Seachem Prime, and an ammonia alert (seachem makes it, it just hangs in your tank) to measure free ammonia in your tank (most tests measure free and bound and if you have bound ammonia and not free you’ll get a false positive with your testing kit, only free is toxic) and your fish won’t die. You’ll know exactly when your ammonia and nitrites are high and have the products to counteract it. I also suggest Purigen bags and/or Seachem Matrix bio media (rinse matrix well first) to put in your filter, they really clear the water and help keep ammonia down. I recommend the API master test kit to purchase still though, just not to read ammonia, but for nitrites and nitrates.

> 3 dayWe have had an aquarium in our house for almost 25 years, ranging from 20 gallons to 110 gallons, and have had both fresh and saltwater setups. About 15 years ago we purchased our first Boesemani Rainbow and got hooked on this type of fish! Brilliant coloration from freshwater fish; now we have Boesemani, Turquoise, Banded, Red, and Praecox rainbows that have grown to about three inches in length. We have moved many times in those years, mostly for work relocation. Each time we have to go through the process of setting up and establishing a new tank, and in those efforts this Seachem Stability product really helps out. Our current tank is a 72 gallon bow-front with a bio-ball based sump biological filtration system and also a pond pump that runs water through a UV light canister to manage algae. Through the first week we turned the UV light off and used Stability (and a few food flakes) to get things going. Within just a few days the ammonia spies came & went, and fish slowly began to be introduced to the tank. After a couple week we felt comfortable turning the UV light back on, and the full system was up and running. We do not use this product during regular weekly (5 gallon) or monthly (15 gallon) water exchanges, but we do use the Seachem Equilibrium product each and every time (

> 3 dayMy aquarium was almost done cycling. I had PH 7.8, Ammonia 1ppm, Nitrite 2.0ppm and Nitrate 40ppm. I have a 6.5 gallon aquarium and I dosed a capful of Stability. I checked my parameters again in 25 hours and my test came out PH 7.8, Ammonia .5ppm, Nitrite .25ppm and Nitrate 80ppm. I am surprise this stuff actually works.
