Security-01 2Pack 1 to 2 Way DC Power Splitter Cable Barrel Plug 5.5mm x 2.1mm for CCTV Cameras LED Light Strip and More

My dislike is the fact that this 1-to-8 power splitting cable is non-functional for the overall 12volt DC current required to go through the SUPPLY wire (the short one) that feeds current to the 8 splitter wires.....they (whoever THEY are) stupidly used the same gauge wire for this short wire, which is NO WAY going to carry 8X the other longer wires for the individual cameras. It is, to my astonishment, the exact same size wire gauge as used for the individual ones. Not nearly good enough! 30 amps MAY be supplied by a power supply -- but wont safely go through that one wire. Period....end of story. I was an electrical engineer and know that all circuits must allow a safety margin....no exception.

I bought these to minimize the number of holes I had to drill in my walls to run my security cameras. I was able to run two cameras per power cord with each of these and have had zero issues with them. They also fit together snug so I dont have to worry about them coming unplugged when its windy outside. And I went around and checked them several times now since weve had 50+ mph wind gusts since Ive installed them and not a bit of movement when I tried to push them together to make sure they hadnt started to pull apart.

Good quality, prompt deliver. I have been using it for more than 2 months without issue.

Item as described and works as described. Did not use for cameras but it works well.

Using this splitter to power an array of external USB3 from a single DC supply. Seagate drives require a converter from this splitters 5.5mm x 2.1mm male plug to the drives 5.5mm x 2.5mm female jack.

Comes loose very easily and ended up switching out for another brand of the same size that was a lot more snug.

Good quality power splitter x2 good value.
