It holds a lot however when I plug it into my computer sometimes the video will freeze, or it just lose connection from the computer.

This hard-drive is simple and easy to use, I bought the same drive over 4 years ago and use it nearly every day for work files and personal photos. I love it so much I made sure to get the same drive again, this new one is a back-up to the first since I travel with it often- in case anything happens... Great storage capacity, I use large photoshop files and have over 10,000 photos on it, and there’s still plenty of room for more. I love the rubber corners, great for durability and to keep the USB cord snug.

The storage capacity is done well enough; it has the typical nearly 10%-15% of the 2GB occupied by system data or whatnot. The Tech support gets 5 stars because I have yet to need their assistance with how well this works. Data flows quickly and constantly. The portability of this device is amazing. it is the perfect size for travel, and the fact that the connector cable secures perfectly to the casing is a great feature. I never have to worry about damaging the drive or loosing the cable. Speaking of the casing, it in itself is quite a nice feature. lightweight, and it protects the drive fairly well; I have not done much to test the extent of the durability because i do not want to intentionally inflict damage to my drive, however, from just regular everyday usage, the protective casing is a nice and secure feeling which leaves everything working perfectly fine.

Who ships a hard drive with no padded protection?!?!? This arrived in a plastic bag and only had the thin manufacturers box with its plastic insert. Do you guys not know how fragile hard drives are? I know its supposed to be shock proof etc but Id rather know that when I buy a brand new drive it at least has a fighting chance of not being knocked around and going bad before I even use the thing. Amazon always uses cardboard boxes with air pack inserts or at the very least a bubble mailer. This is fragile computer equipment...

Been using this for about 2 weeks now and I absolutely love it!!! It is a true plug and play with no need for a damn power supply cord, No setups required, works on both Mac and Windows systems, Plus it is light enough to move around with. All in a nice shock proof cover. Now I havent tested that out intentionally yet and I pray not too but it does looks and feels like it would survive it. I dont know about the transfer speed though. Im patient enough that it doest matter too much to me. Hopefully I think I have found a new company to rely on for my storage needs.

The drive is exactly what I need to store a lot of pictures and not clog up my computer.

Well see how this holds up, but for a shock proof enclosure the case materials feel cheap and fragile. One BIG issue is it has a non-standard computer side large USB connector on the device side (not the standard USB-3 spade with the little ridge in it). I was expecting a STANDARD USB-C to USB-3 cord, instead it is a non-standard cord with a little adapter. =( It works, but is incompatible with all other USB-3 drives I own.

The drive arrived on time, the first things noticed are: Unusual USB 3.0 connector and Rugged antishock armor. Im really dissapointed about the drive speed, after search on the internet I found out its a 2TB 5400 rpm drive. thats a difference when transferring data. I tested the drive in 2 different computers with 3.0 USB ports and both data transfer test result was the same 28-30 Mb/s transfer rate as the top rate. On average was 18-20 Mb/s. Then make the same test with a WD My Passport 2TB (WDBY8L0020BBK-NESN) an the transfer rate was 60-61 Mb/s Test Scenario- Transfer 21.5 GB from the C:drive to the External Hard drive using a 3.0 USB port 1 laptop Lenovo T440 Core i5 4 GB RAM 500 GB internal HDD 1 laptop Dell Inspiron 14z 5423 Core i5 4 GB RAM 500 GB internal HDD Havent tested the antishock armor and dont think so to test it. Its looks and feel ok

Ive had two of these for over a year, and I use them about once a week. When not in use, they sit unplugged. I had one that I had to reformat because it didnt always show up on my desktop, but that has not reoccured. In all, super solid and consistent. Read/write speeds are not critical for me, but I have never felt like these were slow. My puppy managed to get his teeth on both of them for an entire day — he severed all the cables with ease; one HD had scratches in it, and the other had an entire corner ripped off. With new cables, both still function!
