Ive been using Skidmores on my riding boots for years now - it really keeps leather looking and feeling great, even with daily wear. Id say this product is necessary for anyone who has high quality leather pieces, or is interested in purchasing well made shoes with the intention of them lasting a while. My boots are 5 years old and looking like new.

I use on our motorcycle boots, gloves, saddle bags, seats and luggage. Keeps them looking new and keeps them waterproof. I highly recommend Skidmores.

You can say i am a leather shoe shine buff extremist. I am a U.S.Marine from the good years where we took pride in our leather boots that looked like mirrors. I take extreme pride in my leather boots and care for them. As you can see from the picture i use many different products especially on my expensive pair of Allen Edmond boots. This product in particular absorbs very nicely. I use the leather cream first and after it thoroughly absorbs into the leather hydrating it, then I use the other part to waterproof it. After the second part absorbs nicely I will then use an appropriate shoe polish to cover and protect my leather from the elements and to give it a nice shine. I am not crazy about the scent of this product but it dissipates after it absorbs. I then use the polish on top and no longer smell it., but i do love my other product a small jar of Saphir hydrating lotion which smells amazing but its small and expensive. You can see it in my case. But I purchased this product because I needed something more than a lotion, i wanted to waterproof my leather a bit and this Beeswax product applies nicely and absorbs well. I’m very happy with both items in the box and both do what i need it to do. I will buy again.

The main use of this product for me was my prized leather jacket. I try to take good care of it, but it does get wet from the elements. Using a protector and conditioner like this keeps it in good shape. The smell is a bit too floral for me, but it goes away quickly. Ive used this on jackets, briefcases, boots, and gloves, and it works great. A little goes a long way, and leather, after all, is an investment. You might as well protect it.

I got this to spruce up an old leather jacket that my dad left to me. It was dull and very wrinkled from a lot of wear. These products were easy to use and brought the jacket back to life! It made scratches less noticeable and conditioned it well. I used it on black and it did not leave any marks on it with it being a lighter color. It came in a nice gift packaging with a pamphlet that has instructions. I am happy with it, I am going to do some of my leather boat shoes next!

I have used this product for about 2 months now on many different leather goods. Boots, wallets, key chains, dog collars, belts, knife sheaths and other miscellaneous items I have made. I wipe down the outside, rub a generous amount in by hand, let sit a few minutes then wipe off the excess. To apply the wax I rub a small amount in by hand then buff off the excess with a clean rag. If it’s an outdoor or heavily used product I will warm up the leather after applying the wax to let it soak in and improve the waterproofing. At this point I’ve used 4 leather creams and waterproofing oil/wax products. These products are a good balance between all of them. I highly doubt I’ll purchase anything else because of the quality and ease of use with Skidmore’s leather cream and waterproofing wax. These products make my leather goods that much better! I hope this review and the examples help you make your decision. Thanks! P.S. The leather used above is cheaper ($4-5 sq ft) veg tanned that is dyed dark brown. The wallet was treated new with both products 2-3 months ago and used daily. It has developed a nice sheen From the wax but was never tacky even at first application.

Comes in a very nice giftable box. With instructions on how to use each one. I did use it on my Italian leather sofa and my husbands leather shoes. Doesnt have a bad strong scent and didnt leave it sticky or stain in our clothes while we seat on the couch. A little goes a long way.
