> 3 dayI like that it’s easy to assemble. You do have to buy your own bulb and stand to go with this.

Greater than one weekI honestly thought this would be far more difficult to set and use, but it has been amazing. Easy to setup. Easy to use. Incredible shaping of light. I would absolutely recommend.

> 3 dayThis is a big improvement over my umbrellas. The light is soft and complements my subject. I find it a better light source modifier than umbrellas which can cast shadows. Recommended.

> 3 dayI used this product recently on a film shoot and it is a well made and easy to assemble lantern. With its bowens mount it can accompany many fixtures in film and television lighting.

Greater than one weekHonestly I put this lantern modifier right up there with Aputures lantern modifier. The build quality feels just as good as that one. It takes only seconds to expand out and break back down. It comes with a very high quality case. Also included is a skirt to go around the modifier to help you with more directional lighting. All in all I am very impressed with this modifier from SmallRig. All of their new lighting products are very impressive and this may be the best modifiers they have made yet.

> 3 dayJust as fast to setup as an umbrella - push, click in place, put on the mount. Done. Lantern lights are amazing lighting modifiers - even, diffuse light, quick setup and take-down. This version by SmallRig is pro-quality all the way. The ribs are supported along their entire length - not just with loops. Everything is heavy duty and well made. Another thing I love about these lights is that can also be a prop - they look so different that they blend in. Put them high up for indirect downlighting , down for uplighting - almost anywhere. Its a versatile light.

Greater than one weekIf youre looking to fill an entire space with an even fill of soft light, this lantern softbox from SmallRig does just that. Its super easy to assemble - just push down until you see the two l, internal catch bars hook onto the base and youre good to go! Its that easy. That said I wasnt really able to figure out the fabric barn doors are supposed to be attached but thats ok. The lantern excels at providing beautiful and even diffusion, but be prepared to use a high powered light with it. My 120watt continuous light was barely enough, so youll want double that if not triple. But it works great! Even comes with a padded zippered storage bag.

> 3 dayThe SmallRig RA-L65 lantern softbox is a fantastic way for getting an even outward spread of light, either from a constant LED light or a strobe light. As long as you can mount a Bowens accessory, you can mount this thing. Its super easy to deploy and release; you just press down to secure the internal catch bar, then press down again to release it. It comes with fabric barn doors which easily attach via the outer velcro tabs and a fantastic carrying case to house everything. This softbox is both light and rugged and I anticipate a long life of use for it. SmallRigs isnt the cheapest lantern, but its not the most expensive either. If youre looking for a lantern and get the opportunity to pick one of these up, I wouldnt hesitate.
