Snappy Tools Plug Cutter, 3/4

I saw some other reviews saying that they broke this plug cutter but I cant imagine what they were trying to cut or do with it. I cut plugs out of red oak, an extremely hard wood, with no problem. This plug cutter is strong and sharp.

I only cut out two plugs and out of Pine but I drilled a hole in my project with a three-quarter inch Forstner bit cut the plug loose from my stock fit in very nice and tight very happy.

Remodeling our deck and I needed to plug some 3/4 holes left by the last railing. Used the same material that the deck was made of and this cutter cut EXACT size I needed. Realy like the taper. Makes the plug go into the hole easily and then snugs down to make a perfect fit.

Works pretty good, it is not tapered very much, but it is just enough. Have cut about 80 plugs so far and its finally acting dull, going to fine tune the cutting edges.

I liked the sharpness, weight and durability of this excellent tool. I will buy more as needed.

I use plugs in many different woodworking applications and really like snappys plug cutters. I have numerous sizes and they always perform in any species that i throw at it. Just a very nice product and a decent price point.

For that price I expected perfect plugs and they were not even close. Try to get a clean glue line with this your dreaming.

This fit my needs perfectly. I needed to replace a number of popped plugs in my floor. They fit the 3/4” holes smoothly, as opposed to the cheaper cutters that sometimes are too large or too small.

I used it to cut plugs and wanted side grain to match the door instead of a dowel with end grain and it shows up too easily. The oak plugs I made looked great. Now I have the 3/4 to go with the rest of the SNappy kit.
