Ive owned a number of non-contact electrical testers similar to these - cheaper and more expensive. The first one of these I bought probably a year ago from Home Depot. It was my favorite, mostly because its LOUD! Some brands are barely audible so if youre working in a noise building, youve got to look at the lighted tip. Unfortunately, right after I bought this one, Home Depot stopped carrying them so I had to search for this particular one and very happy I found it. Why was looking for another one? Because its not unusual for me to misplace small tools and I can only assume my first one is sitting in an attic somewhere.... You wont be disappointed purchasing one of these.
