Spigen Rugged Armor Pro Designed for Apple Watch Band with Case for 42mm Series 3/2/1/Original (2015) - Black

I’ve had this band for almost 2 years. Absolutely love it. Like others, prior to buying my Apple Watch Series 3 in ‘18, all I wore were G Shocks, so I was very concerned with the fragility of the Apple. Tried numerous bands and settled on this one. Outside of having to take a damp cloth and toothbrush to clean the built up gunk every now and then, I’ve had no problems. Still looks very good, considering the abuse I put watches through.

I really dig this band. It provides a nice amount of protection without feeling bulky. I use it as my every day watch and recently spent a week on the beach with my wife and didnt use my more rugged/waterproof band and this one held up nicely. I had it for a 38MM Apple Watch Series 1 and when I upgraded to this Series 3, it wasnt even a question, this was the watch band I needed.

Comfort wise, the band is fine. I do find frustration with the loop always sliding down and the band popping out. You will have a challenge figuring out how to get the watch to rest on the charge dock (because of the rigidity of the bands). A simple work around is to elevate the charge dock on the edge of a tissue box (for example) so that the bands can drape the sides of the box (lower than the charge dock). The durability... as far as the finish, I was surprised that over spray from Repel mosquito repellent ruined the watch band matte finish (leaving it permanently blotched and unsightly. There’s nothing short of chemical etching that I haven’t tried to “clean” the band from the Repel spray. See pictures. So disappointed because the band looks so trashy now. Worse is, despite the name Rugged Armor, the band / case is not rugged. Do not fool yourself into thinking the band is durable. The Achilles heel of the whole design is the very think plastic above and below the wheel. It will break and on mine has broken. Ive not had my case very long at all. HIGHLY disappointed and a complete waste of my time and money. Its products like this that annoy me (as if the designer / producer just ignores these obvious defects). Despite paying less than $20, I feel suckered and fooled. This is nothing more than just a look of rugged. It is all show and absolutely does not pass.

Great solution for taking the apple watch into more risky situations. Case fits the apple watch series 3 exceedingly well with all cutouts lining up and the digital crown operates without any rubbing or obstruction issues that you sometimes run into with other cases out there. Band is fairly comfortable but the OEM apple ones are definitely more pliable. That being said, this band is comfortable for all-day wear and the security of an actual buckle provides a little more confidence when taking the apple watch (the series 3 waterproof one) into lakes and such. Ive bumped into a few shelves and other corners with this and definitely appreciated the extra protection already. If youre on the fence - I can say its well worth the small investment for what you get. Plus, being a G-shock person as well, this definitely upped the look of the watch into a more rugged profile.

This in an excellent band. The watch pops in easily and securely, and it looks great. I have had compliments from other Apple Watch wearers on the looks of this band. I am a clumsy oaf, and constantly bang my watch into things, like my desk, the door jamb, walls... so having a built in case is a huge plus for me.I wear my Apple Watch without fear of scratching it up or dinging it. Its lightweight, has a nice feel to it, and is very rugged. I looked at a couple of other similar bands on Amazon, but I have owned several Spigen cases for phones over the years, and they have always been great quality for a reasonable price. This band is the same.

This watch case is perfect! Finally someone made a one piece case that didn’t look stupid (like the ones with the 2 metal clasps). I’ve used the other super expensive cases like the Catalyst (which gets good ratings) but didn’t like that it was two pieces. When I used the Catalyst case, the insert portion cracked and my watch fell out and I almost lost my watch. This one piece case is the way to go. My watch fits securely and perfectly in the case. The buttons are all accessible and the band is light weight and comfortable.

I love it, its the best product Ive ever purchased! Make sure you buy a tempered glass screen protector as well when you buy this because its not included!

I am using the 44mm charcoal grey version of this band. I’m an auto mechanic and I was worried about destroying my new Apple Watch, but this band has held up well! My watch is still perfect after a couple of months of use. I think the grey looks awesome also!

Watch band is very durable and very comfortable. I wear it daily and it held up well. Offers good protection and gives a sporty look. After several years I did have the plastic break right above the dial, but I wouldnt say its a flaw. Its just a place where the plastic protection is small and thin. I tried other bands and came back to this one for fit, style and function. Overall I am a fan of Spigen products.

This is a great addition to your Apple Watch. It protects the face with a raised lip around the display opening. The band is comfortable.
