I discovered the splinterouts at my job some thirty years ago. They do an awesome job on splinters that you would just leave in to fester before you could get them out. I brought one home for my husband one time to get brass shavings out (he is a machinist) and he was sold. I had to keep robbing the first aid kit until I finally found some place that sold them. My house is fully stocked with them now. My daughter and grandson have followed in my ex-husbands footsteps and are now machinists. Not a drawer or medicine cabinet are without splinterouts now, neither are their work stations.

I now purchase these for our salon. Works wonders getting hair slivers.

Quick, clean, disposable one time use and effective way to remove splinters. Especially metal shavings. I’m a machinist by trade and these bad boys are my best friend! I highly suggest using these as a single time disposable item. Infection can be no joke. Especially when you can easily rip open a new one.

Not sure why thickness shows up as a spec for this product. The way I have been using this is to slice open the area near the splinter and then use the tip to pry out the splinter. The point is sharp and effective for getting out metal splinters for sure. Ive got these stashed in all my first aid kits and in my machine shop. If you carry this in a soft first aid kit, the plastic case that the bulk pack can crack/shatter. I usually position near some gauze packs to keep it from breaking.

We get these at work unfortunately because I work in a small company where people do not like spending money and or sharing supplies. I ordered these to stay stocked up since I do work with metal

I got a splinter in my finger one day at work that went deeper each time I attempted to pull it out. My manager knew we kept Splinter Outs in our first-aid cabinet. Id never heard of them. We got the package open and the splinter out within 20 seconds. That sold me and I went looking for them. Bought them here, five packages of 20 each, for less than $6--a great price for what Ive decided is a must-have-on-hand first-aid item. Each set of 20 comes in a small (~1x2) hard-plastic container that can easily fit in a coin purse, makeup bag, wherever you need to keep them on hand. Best of all, they are ready to use. No more having to hunt up a needle or pin and pouring alcohol over it to try to scoop out the splinter. Splinter Outs are already scoop shaped with a small fine point and sterile. Totally recommend the product and the set like I purchased here.

We use these little guys a lot. I live that they are sterile and individually packaged. Removed splinters with little effort.
