I read the reviews that talk about how shaky the unit is, but I suspect its because the screws either didnt go in all the way or on an angle. This was my solution: Youll need a pair of plyers that are comfortable to hold (i.e. padded handle) and either a padded mallet or a thick cloth. First off with the allen wrench that comes with it and the plyers to turn it, screw one of the screws into each hole about 2/3 of the way down. It will be very tight so do it slowly and then slowly unscrew it. This will open up the very tight. Once youve done this with each hole, then follow the instruction and attached each side. Once its assembled, press the screw covers over each screw head. If they dont fit tightly, then either use a soft mallet to gently pound it into place, or the end of the padded plyers or put cloth over the each one and gently use a small hammer to press it down.

I think this wood one looks nicer than the original plastic versions. Plus the fact that you can flip for either a tall toilet or a standard is very useful, as we have both in our home. Easy to assemble, took about 10 minutes by myself using just the allen wrench included. They give you an extra screw, cap and non-slip foot, so that is nice just in case. The caps dont stay in well, but a little dab of white glue took care of that. And the most important part, yes, it is comfortable and helps with the number 2.

Theres not much more to say beyond that. Toilet for hours? No more. One of the best time hacks there is.

I didn’t realize until I received the item that this is a genuine, squatty potty item. I love that, once assembled, which was easy to do by the way, the device fits completely underneath the toilet, so it doesn’t stick out really at all. And it definitely does its “job “! There are also two different heights, depending on how extreme of a squat you would like to achieve. My kids also use it as a stepstool so bonus there!

Good quality product made with bamboo and easy to put together and clean.

Works as intended and looks good. Prefer the wood to the plastic. Easy to assemble. Directions were pretty thorough. The only con to this item is that it is very uncomfortable for bare feet. The top feels a little rough. If that is the trade off for wood vs plastic then I’ll live with it

Its attractive and light and tucks away under the toilet nicely. But, as someone else mentioned, I also got a splinter putting it together. Removed it easily and quickly but they may want to check their stools. Lastly, the screws that hold it together are counter sunk which is nice and they have covers that should plug into place. But only half of them stay in place while the others simply fall off. An easy fix if you plan to keep the stool is just to use a little glue.
