The instructions were clear and I had no issues whatsoever getting these set up on our trees. I ended up using tubing on these, however, and it doesnt cause issues as long as the hose is heated beforehand. The hooks are very useful and were able to hold overflowing 5gal buckets with ease. Overall, I would recommend these to anyone looking to get into syrup making!

perfect! buy as many as you can afford. well made and smooth; thick so it wont bend wile tapping it in and all you have to do to remove it it just give it a 1/4 turn and pull it out. sealed up tight in the tree and to the tubes. this is the perfect tap for maple trees.

I like these taps. I drilled a 5/16 hole, tapped tree, added some tubing, and hung milk jugs from the hook. Sap flowed well. Removal is easy and the clean up is easy with some hot water.
