> 24 hourI do wonder what some people are on when they write Reviews and this product is not execption. Firstly, this is a genuine Stanley FATMAX product, the numbers on metal tape are clear, acturate and have inches, centimeters and feet. Excellent build quality, strong holding clip, stable and will hold its own weight to over 3 metres. Well worth the money and highly recommended.

> 24 hourWhat can I say they are great tape. Worth every penny. Once you buy fat max you will do without one again. Great tape. It gets dropped and still working away perfectly.

> 24 hourDifferent quality to the Stanley STA533896 FatMax. Very hard to lock and unlock smoothly. My Wife couldn’t lock it at all so returned it and bought another Stanley STA533896 FatMax. The last one of these lasted nearly 20 years. Better quality is better value. I now understand why this plastic one was so heavily discounted!

> 24 hourThe hook for the tape can come loose easily and the locking mechanism requires a lot of pressure. Apart from that its ok.

> 24 hourHad this one month and it’s already broken, where other fatmax tapes I’ve had in the past have lasted at least a year or more. Very disappointed

> 24 hourNeeded to replace a tape measure and this one proved a good choice. Chunky, easy to use and read, and seems durable enough. Overall a positive buy

> 24 hourThis is a true beast. It’s well made, rubberised in part to help it survive if you drop it, (which is what caused the death of my last one ( not this make ) ) …. It’s really quite heavy so might not suit all… but it’s a well made product , as you’d expect with Stanley products… it’s easy to use and easy to read.

> 24 hourFor me the Stanley tape rules are the gold standard.Clear and accurate scales with a durable end hook and all in a case that has the corners rounded off so it doesnt wear holes in pockets.I dont clip it to a belt or pocket because its too easy to scratch surrounding furniture,so this matters. This model isnt as bulky as the larger tape rules and has been my everyday choice for some years. They do eventually wear out,but not until long after lesser versions would have found their way to the bin.
