Stanwood Needlecraft Large Metal Yarn/Fiber/Wool/String Ball Winder - 10 oz

Have had it for about 3 months and my wife loves it. I am glad we bought the larger winder as it does both large and small skeins. It sure saves time and your wrist. The only thing is she will not let me use it very often as she enjoys it so much. Why did we wait so long?

I am so disappointed in this winder! I ordered it because of all the positive reviews, but have not had positive results! The end of the yarn keeps coming out of the cleft of the bobbin, and the handle does not move smoothly at all unless I unwind the yarn from the skein first! I cant believe I spent $73 on this!

This is amazing. Crocheted all my life, learned to knit at age 70, bought fancy yarn in hanks, with the Stanwood Swift and this ball winder, it is so much easier and faster. Operates very nicely. Made well. Would highly recommend.

Like a lot of people, I buy yarn when Im still working another project and since my local yarn store closed down I have had nowhere to wind my yarn. Because storing yarn in cakes can damage the fiber over time I keep them in skeins like advised instead of asking a seller to wind it for me. Hence me needing a yarn winder!

Whoa, Whoa, Whoa. I first bought the smaller plastic yarn winder and I was very disappointed because it did not wind a full skein of yarn. I then researched for a larger yarn winder and stumbled upon the Stanwood Needlecraft Large Metal yarn winder. Believe me, this thing really, really, really, works. It will hold a very large amount of yarn. It is definitely worth every penny.
