Great game all around. My wife didnt love it at first as a 2 player game, but once she figured out the strategy aspect she loved it. We now play it 3-4x a week. Weve played 4 players only once, but the gameplay held up fine. Definitely worth it!

Great fun game to play solo. Comes with 8 solo scenarios and increasing difficulty levels for each. Plays quickly sets up fast. Great experience.

Boss fights add a whole new level to the game when you can co op take down a single enemy and it is a challenge everyone can enjoy. No two fights are the same due to well balanced mechanics of the boss cards worth a look if you ever wanted to change up the game or just wanted some new elements to put into your basic Star Realms deck.

The best entry point to the world of star realms

This is the ultimate introduction to the game. Starting decks for 6 players, score cards, a nice deck, a well-written actual rulebook and 8 co-op / single player challenges. The box itself has a divider and is quite sturdy. Compared to the basic Star Realm deck this is much better - in fact I actually put the original Star Realms deck inside this box (fits but not with the unneeded 10-card starter decks from the original box) very comfortably.

Picked up Star Realms Frontier after watching Star Realms played on TableTop to play with my 7 year old. He picked it up immediately and nearly beat me in the first game. Easy to learn and fun to play. The box is perfectly sized with no wasted space and the art work on the cards fantastic. A great value for the money.

Ive played a few deck builders that are mainly going for the most points, this is head to head (with rules for free-for-all and teams). Pretty well balanced, interesting mechanics, and fun!

My girlfriend and I were looking for a new game to play together when we came across Star Realms. Not only does it have strategy and intrigue akin to games like Magic, which I appreciate, but it is also easy to learn and somewhat whimsical, similar to more mainstream, classic board/card games. My girlfriend enjoys it as much as I do! The rulebook for this expansion includes instructions on how to play a traditional 1v1 game, as well as rule modifications for 1-4 player game types including cooperative scenarios. The package includes 8 challenge cards that layout a framework for cooperative missions. When combined with the original Star Realms set or the Colonies expansion, the game will support up to 6 players. I have yet to stray from the traditional 1v1 setup, but Im sure it will be a blast when I do. Its difficult to beat the value of this game, especially for a two-player!

If you are new to Star Realms or considering acquiring a deck I would recommend this version over the original. While its true the cards are slightly different, it plays by the same rules and the cards are only slightly different. However, Frontiers is significantly cheaper than the original version. It comes with enough cards for a 4 player game, while the base version only supports 2 players. You also get solo and co-op missions in this pack, which is another bonus not included in the original version. This is a standalone expansion so you really dont need an original deck.
