I bought this tool for my husband. He loves the Starrett brand tools and searches for them whenever he need to purchase a new tool.

Excellent in every way, typical Starrett

Fit, finish, and function as expected with Starrett. Did the job, no issues, works smoothly, bores fit rods closely and finish typical Starrett.

I already have three of these. But I wanted one more. Because Im needy. And a little greedy.

I bought an off brand a few years back. The thing is trash already. Im a surface grinder in a gage shop so this gets used all day, every day. The Starrett just feels so much better. Would buy or recommend to anyone.

Some times when you need to set up a measurement you need a clamp for a smaller rod. Necessary item for the tool box.

its so nice having good snugs, after breaking some cheap ones I decided to buy these and will probably never have to replace a broken snug again

Worked great for my dial indicator. I used it with a mighty mag, another Starrett Snug, and a Starrett rod set.
