Stiletto Pocket Light

> 3 dayI use this light to scan our yards and adjacent yards for coyotes before letting the dogs out at night. I let my neighbors know this because the beam lights up 3-4 yards (that’s backyards!) away. Super powerful. Holds a charge for nearly a week even with nightly usage. I’ve had the flashlight 8 months and all was great until tonight when I decided to bend over and pull a couple of weeds. The Surefire tumbled out of my pocket and landed in some decorative gravel, whereupon the ENTIRE HEAD of the flashlight (right at where the clip is screwed on) completely broke off. I’m not a tall person so the fall was from 3 feet at most. Yikes. Expected a heck of a lot more durability from a flashlight at this price point. Consequently, would NOT recommend this flashlight.

> 3 dayI am a flashlight collector, not sure why, maybe Im afraid of the dark. I own many lights and I always have one in my pocket. I insist on quality, and Surefire is one of the best, you will pay for this quality but its something I appreciate. This particular light, the Stiletto, is a favorite of mine due to its slim profile, this light slips easily into and out of my pocket. The USB rechargeable battery seems robust and seems to hold a charge for a very long time, and I like the protective cover over the charging port. Three light intensity settings make this a very versatile pocket light, and very powerful at the high setting. I love this light, but I must warn you of a relatively minor issue, this is why four stars instead of five. Occasionally, if there is too much stuff in my pocket, and space is cramped, the on/off switch can be depressed and the light will turn on in my pocket. If this light has room enough so that the switch will not be activated, and nothing pressing against it, you will be fine. I dont know how Surefire can fix this minor glitch, but I think they will figure it out. All things considered, this remains one of my favorite EDC lights.

> 3 dayThis is my favorite flashlight in my collection for sure well worth the price. Battery life seems to be just fine. Doesnt get insanely hot like it going to malfunction or something like a lot of reviews discuss what is happening is it made of a soft metal on top almost plastic like material and it feels hot to the touch, however this was me purposely trying to let it get hot to test it. I have yet to see it turn on automatically it has been doing exactly what it has been intended to do and nicely at that.

> 3 dayThis light was returned. First off, even with a full charge, it didnt seem close to 650 lumens. Second, the flashlight, although it fits great in the pocket, is smooth & odd shaped in the hand, and therefore is difficult to hold onto. If trying to use the flashlight help overhand, using your thumb to operate the rear activation switch, the light will tend to slide through your fingers/hand, and you will be readjusting your grip again and again. The idea is sound, and I have no doubt than the next generation of this light will have serrations for a better grip, and probably a few hundred more lumens.

> 3 dayI bought this for my wife and she loves it. The only problem is she keeps finding it has been turned on when she places in her purse. The button gets hit be the other items and ends up on. Other then that it is a very strong well made compact flash light.

Greater than one weekThis has been a great edc light. As people have stated the light floods a room very well. The battery lasts for 2-3 weeks for my usage levels. The carry is pretty shallow, but no one is worried about a flashlight showing. I have enjoyed this light. Now for some issues I have had. Firstly the clip I recieved on this light came in an unfinished state. It was as pictured from the day I reciever it. I am unsure if this was other peoples experience. It isnt that big of a deal, it is just unsightly. The screws are also different which is odd. Secondly this light gets really hot at the front. To be fair there is a warning, but this came on in my pocket and burned a hole in my lab coat. Which brings me to my last issue. This light has a tendency to turn on when in a pocket. The lights natural setting is to turn to low mode upon powering on, however you can set it to its brightest setting which can heat up quickly. Be aware.

> 3 dayThin design fits well in the pocket, the two button function is great. One for high/no light and the other for 3 different light outputs. I do wish the body was made out of a metal shell, I do a lot of light manipulation at work, and worry the body will eventually crack. Charging the light is fast and it hold that charge for a good amount of time. Be mindful that the front of this light will get hot fast, so I wouldnt recommend this as a light to run for more than a few minutes at a time.

> 3 dayI’ve owned lots of everyday carry flashlights over the last 30 years. Most were adequate but went through batteries quickly enough that I couldn’t count on them. This light is rechargeable and I’ve seen it hold a charge for 3 weeks with moderate daily use. It’s slim and fits nicely in my pocket. The three brightness settings are perfect for all uses. The end cap button makes quick use a breeze. I couldn’t recommend it more.

Greater than one week1 button on the back for quick intermittent access to max output make this an awesome self defense light. 1 button on the body allowing low/med/high constant on activation makes this an awesome daily task light. The additional button for checking battery status and the LED that shows green for full, yellow for medium, or red for low battery mean I dont have to worry about it going read when I dont expect it. The plastic flat body means that it doesnt bulge out my pocket or scratch my phone that also lives in the same pocket. Good pocket clip that can slip on a hat bill. Micro USB charging. Im kind of a flashlight addict, and this is by far the best EDC light in the world for me, and for 99% of others as well. The only thing that some may not like is the wide beam. Its very flood, not spot.
