This is my second one. The first one fell off my motorcycle and was run over by a car. It continued working for about a two years and then the switch started to be unreliable. Decided better to buy another flashlight instead of replacing the switch. Very happy, works great.

I am a bit of a flashlight geek and own a number of hand held lights in this category. Previous to receiving my Strion LED, my most used hand held was a Fenix TK11 with a standard Strion as a backup. While the TK11 is a great light, the Strion LED beats it in a number of categories. This light has great grip and the one button operation allows the user to access all of its functionality with one hand. The bright mode is impressively bright, a common feature of modern CREE or C4 LED products. However, the Strion light is very white when compared to some of my CREE LED lights, which seem to have a bit of a blue tint at times. If you are in the market for a small rechargeable light, this is a great option. It is certain to become my daily-use light with the TK11 being demoted to backup and the standard Strion staying home. Streamlight also stands behind their products with an excellent warranty. Im glad to see they are modernizing their product line and hope the Strion LED is the beginning of a new trend for Streamlight.

I like it small and bright. Awesome.

I wish it was a little brighter but for its size, output and beam it’s pretty impressive. I’ve dropped it multiple times with no issues. Will update if a problem arises. * Update as of March of 2019: No issues after a good year of use. Looks practically brand new. The beam isn’t too bad for only 260 lumens or whatever it is. For what it is it’s a good light. If you want something brighter get the HL High Lumen. ** Update as of Oct. 2020 - this light is my go to for not only me but also my family. Absolutely no issues with this light at all. Still performs like it did when I got it. I expect to have this light for a long time. ** Update as of Dec. 2021: Still works as if it’s brand new. It’s been dropped plenty of times and is starting to show some wear/use but the quality is still high. No issues. Great light. Worth the money.

These flashlights are amazing. My old one died after 6 years of heavy abuse as a mechanic. Highly recommend

I bought his light to replace my older Strion. This upgrade is simply great. Its still very small & easy to carry. The light output has been a fantastic upgrade. I fit into the same belt holster I have used for years. It used the chargers I have for the car, work & home. Just fantastic. I bought this through Amazons used selection. It came in perfect condition in the original box. I can only guess someone received it, never used it & returned it. I saved a few bucks, I got a great flashlight. A+ all the way.

Great Flashlight! I am a Police Officer, and originally bought the strion, non LCD. At the time, I LOVED that light and never had a problem. My partner at work liked it, and then bought the LED one. After playing with that, I decided I liked that one BETTER, so I bought one. I liked it so much, I bought a Daniel Defense flashlight holder for my AR-15, and bought another strion to use as a weapon light. Saved me about 400 dollars, the cost of a dedicated weapon light. It works great. O

This is my favorite light of this size - its not much heavier than something like a G2 or P6, although it does feel more solid. Its brighter than either, as well. The end-cap push-button is great, I like having lower-lumen choices to preserve battery life, even if I dont care for the strobe option. Works great on long guns. Hook it to a mount and leave it. You can aim the contact points out and charge the light without removing it from the gun. Keep in mind, you can buy this with the charger or without, which can save you money buying your second one.

My department issued me a stinger, but the holster they use had that tall light poking my ribs when sitting down in the car. The strion is just the right size and has better light than the stinger does. It does have a shorter battery life though. The other downside is that it cannot be used with the cone for directing traffic. for that I just keep the cone on the stinger and the whole thing in my car door pocket if I need to direct traffic. This is a small but powerful flashlight. I chose this model over the HL model because you get a better focused beam for distance while still getting some area illumination. If you use your stinger as a collapsed baton for pressure points and holds though you may want to skip this.
