Works as expected. I put them on a filing cabinet and our external doors to hang keys and lanyards and similar items.

We used these magnetic hooks on our cruise last week and they worked fabulously. We were able to hang a number of items throughout our cabin including small bags, a camera, CPAP mask, and clothes. A great addition to any cruisers packing list.
