My African grey loved it but its a bit smaller than it is looks.

This is very colorful, but my Grey can totally destroy it in a day. Doesnt take him long to chew it all up. So when I get him a new one, I save it for the days when I am not home and he is stuck in his cage. It gives him something to do while I am gone.

Kind of crazy to ask about durability and sturdiness for a toy meant for destruction! Great toy a month later only a shred left as it is meant to be.... Will purchase again!

My African Grey is obsessed with this toy, he has a lot of other toys to choose from, but he chooses to play with this one all day. Unfortunately, he did manage to rip through all the cardboard rings in 2 days, but he still continues to play with the plastic rings.

We were out of town for a week and left our African Gray in the care of our usual sitter, not realizing she was not coming at the times we’d thought. Long story short, our dear AG got stressed out by the change in routine and plucked a ring around her neck. We immediately took action to prevent this from being a chronic thing. One of the best tools was this toy. She enjoyed the paper “bagels” more than the plucking and the toy is easy to refill, we replace the rings when about half are gone. It’s much more challenging for her, keeps the novelty going, and feels less wasteful than tossing a destroyed toy (and I don’t keep up with her just by making my own). We’ve been refilling it for a few months now and so far the plastic parts are still in pretty good shape.

My African Grey parrot loved this toy so much. She was obsessed with it and did not leave it alone for two weeks. She peeled every last piece of cardboard until there was nothing left. She usually loses interest in a new toy within a short time but not this one! Her absolute favorite!

This is a nice toy, and the only one that my Grey hasnt been afraid of for days--sometimes weeks--after I started trying to introduce it. I hung it, she chewed it. Just like that! But it does not seem to give her the satisfaction that the big blocky wood toys do and she quit using it after about a week. Its hung on her gym, and she now asks to go back to her cage (she picks and cant fly) so she can chew on her other things. Your mileage may vary. Heck, mine may if I reintroduce it in a couple of months. With birds, you never know.
