> 3 dayThe soft white isn’t so soft. Bought a dimmer. We’ll see how that works. With no adhesive backing, the meter apart brackets weren’t enough to keep it from sagging. Be prepared to install them every 12 inches. If the dimmer does not work, it sure is gonna be a pain to pull them all down….

Greater than one weekThese are flat and have special flat rubber mounting brackets. I bought these to replace our old rope lights that go around the house and was a little disappointed they were not round like the previous ones however once I got them installed, they are way better than the old ones (could be the led vs regular lights). We have 1 outdoor light and 2 outlets so having these be 150 feet long works great! We live in the country and since they replaced our yard light with a led light, it didnt light up our backdoor/backyard like it use to so we installed these to help with that and keep the bugs away from the door. Bought the bright white (daylight/kind of blue) and did not like those (too bright) wanted something a little less bright and these are perfect, still light but not too bright.

> 3 dayThis is the second roll I have bought and like the first worked perfectly out of the box. These are strip no rope lites and actually easier to hang without sags. Would have given them 5 v. 4 overall if the power cord was a) longer and b) weatherproof. We use them for a wide range of activities from Ping Pong after dark to mood lighting, so the range of lighting provided by a dimmer is nice given their full power brightness. As others have noted the reel could be sturdier. Since we have had very bad luck with previous lights by other manufacturers failing in an unreasonably short time, will update this after a years use.

> 3 dayWe put these around the bottom of our motor home for light and to keep our mice. We had people stop and ask us where we purchased them. They really give of a lot of light. They roll and unroll fairly easy. They do get a bit heavy rolling up.,These were really a good deal!!

> 3 dayThese are bright and very nice for large outdoor spaces (like this cedar tree). Note that the color on photographs tends in my experience to be different than what we see with the human eye. You can really cover a lot, like a large tree or structure, and the brightness is quite impressive. I have left mine out of doors for two years now, and Im starting to see some issues with dark sections, especially when connecting sections together (first section will light up, but possibly due to corrosion the tail section is inconsistent). Given how much rain we get Im not too upset about it; if I was, I would do a better job of taking them down after the holiday season. The instructions say quite clearly not to plug in when the lights are on the reel, as this will lead to excessive heating. Some reviews include pictures of melted lights on the reel-- just unreel it before you plug it in. Youll probably want to do that anyway, since a tightly coiled line is hard to hang right out of the box.
