I really enjoy this outdoor wifi compatible outlet. I actually purchased this outlet to see if it really worked like a smart device. I have to say this is one of the best outlets to transform your devices into smart devices using an app. This is a very simple way to go outside and enjoy the pleasures of inside entertainment. I recommend this outlet to anyone that wants to upgrade their devices while relaxing outside. The wifi signal has to have a great connection and it is very worth it. This plug does not work well with a hotspot. The best part of this Syantek Outdoor Wifi Outlet is you can connect 3 devices and enjoy your best life in the shade.

The set up is super easy using the Smart Life app. Controls easily using your voice, with Alexa. This was not an issue for me, but keep in mind that the three outlets do not work independently. You cannot control each outlet individually. It will either turn all three outlets on or off. Irregardless, to have an outdoor rated three outlet plug that can be controlled by your phone app or your voice with Alexa or Google, at such a low price, you just can’t go wrong!

I already had devices setup on the Smart Life app so it was a super breeze to setup all the way to asking Alexa and Google to turn the switch on and off. I didnt have to do anything with either one of them since they were both already setup with the Smart Life app. This is a heavy duty, rugged device; very substantially made. I wanted to have this to control my set of landscape lights. I had one of those plastic programmable timers doing the job but since the rest of the house is Alexified, I figure why now do it for the landscape lights as well. I test it with both AIs and it instantly obeyed the on-off commands. There wasnt anything in the app though for adjusting to daylight savings time. My pet peeve with my other switch control was that if we had a power outage, the timer would have to be reset. Im imagining that is not the case with this one. That was a biggee for me; just one more chore to take care of. At first, I was imagining what it would be like to have each outlet programmable individually, but that is not the case. I can live with that. Its handy if you have multiple devices that need to come on at the same time. Im thinking of getting a second one of these in order to turn on a tool and dust collector in my shop at the same time verbally. This is a 15-amp socket so I wont be hooking up any heavy-duty pieces of equipment to it. So, for setup you just plug it in, open the Smart Life app, hit the add button, and press the on button on the device for 5 seconds. Things start to blink, and bingo within about 30 seconds it is setup. I changed the device name to Landscape Lights and was surprised that Alexa and Google both controlled it instantly even with the just changed name. No bugs, it just works. It needs a 2.4Ghz network Wi-Fi to work. I have both 2.4 and 5 and fortunately I didnt have to go into my router and shut off the 5 to get it working. Like I said, It just works. Great stuff. Highly recommended.

Just received this and added it to my SmartLife compatible app. It is a simple switch, so the outlets are all switched on and off at once, no individual control. I used it in an area of my yard that has a weak wi-fi signal, but it seems to have no problem connecting. The case looks nice, sturdy and even the screw holes are covered with rubber pads. I gave it 4 stars because it does not include any covers for the unused outlets. In my part of the world any open holes outdoors are filled by mud dabbers or otherwise infiltrated by insects. I covered the unused outlets with electrical tape. It should include at least 2 rubber outlet covers to ward off insects and moisture.

Very very disappointed and planning to return.

I needed a multi-power tap for the driveway side of my home where I could plug in power tools as there is only a single outlet in a weatherproof housing which was awkward to use and some of the power plugs were shaped so they wouldnt fit. Because of the 90° plug on this one, I did have to file a small dip in the bottom of the housing rim to seat the plug firmly but that was a minor problem and I can close and lock the housing with this device in place! It has functioned perfectly powering my vehicle battery conditioner, power washer, vacuum and other power tools I needed to use. The price listed was very reasonable.

Works great

This is a very simple to use smart plug. It doesnt have a lot of fancy features, but it does everything I need it to do. It allows me to turn on between 1-3 devices by using the Smart life app on my phone. Keep in mind, the plug will turn on or off all 3 plugs at once, not individually. This makes it great for garages , Christmas lights, or anything where you will need to control multiple plugs. The Smart life app even allows me to set a schedule to turn a plug on and off at a certain time of day. It also has a countdown feature in case I only want to leave something running for a certain amount of time. Another impressive feature with this plug is thar I can get an app notification if the smart plug goes offline. This makes it perfect for vital devices that you need to know for certain if they were turned on or off. I also like that after a scheduled on or off function has taken place, that I get an app reminder letting me know that it has taken place. This plug is also lightweight and has a rubber mounting clip that a screw can be put into so that the plug can be secured to a wall. I like this added bonus because I dont have to worry about the weight of three plugs causing the smart plug to become unplugged. Overall, I love this plug. Ive gotten really spoiled with using it, and I wouldnt want to be without it now.
