They do shed and they get caught in cracks leaving behind hairs. They also have a wet animal smell. They work ok for exterior stuff due to their smell when wet. Could be more durable. You get what you pay for.

These brushes work great for me, for the type of detail work I’m doing. Very durability and strong but still soft enough to for the finest detailing.
