Its thicker stiff felt. This package was a good value, comparatively. I tried beading with regular felt. It could not maintain its shape as it was too thin. This is really nice as Im beginning. My first cab turned out fairly well.

Comparing the two, I will only note the differences as they are very much the same. Beadsmith beading foundation is a little thicker than Lacy’s Stiff Stuff. Beadsmith is way easier to put a needle thru. (Making it my favorite) Beadsmith also comes in black. Beadsmith is less expensive. This is the Foundation I will be using from now on.

Great quality and it pretty thick . Not like other kinds. The price is pretty high for 4 sheets .

In the past I have used Lacys Stiff Stuff as my beading foundation almost exclusively, so I was a little reluctant to try something different. That said, I really liked the fact that this product came already colored - no messy dyes or sharpies to deal with! - so I decided to give it a go. The Beadsmith foundation is indeed comparable, and so far I have encountered no problems with it. It isnt quite as stiff as Lacys is, but still provides a nice, solid base which is easy to work with, and supports heavy stones and beadwork quite well. I will definitely order again and hope to see more colors in future!

Have always used Laceys Stiff Stuff for my projects in the past but this product is softer and love that it is black. I will be using this in the future for beading projects, good product.
