> 24 hourRather easy to install, I removed the motherboard from the case, and removed all my RAM. It might be doable without taking the motherboard out of the case but I didnt want to try it.

> 24 hourIf you have a 12th or 13th gen processor, this is a must have. I installed this frame on two different computers and it dropped temps by at least 8 degrees on each. Install is super easy if you follow the steps in the Gamers Nexus youtube video.

> 24 hourI was a little nervous about installing this at first, but it was surprisingly easy. I placed it on my 17-13700K CPU and I noticed my temps went from Mid 40s to high 30s while in windows, and when running Cinebench I went from low 90s to mid to low 80s. Overall highly recommend if youre comfortable with taking apart your computer. Takes less than 10 minutes.

> 24 hourI have to say that this new approach to CPU retention has been an amazing surprise. After reading reviews from some well-recognized testing & bench-marking experts, I decided to give it a try. Installation following the online video was simple. After installing the CPU cooler and running it under monitoring software at high-demand usage for several hours, I noticed a real drop in CPU temps!! I am sold!

> 24 hourLook I realize Thermal Grizzly basically thought of these as a solution for the 1700 socket bend but they’re super expensive and hard to find in the States. And yes, there are even some builders that believe these contact frames are just a trend and are nothing more than a security blanket for a nonissue. And in same cases that’s absolutely true. Some CPUs IHS are perfectly fine with the socket bend I had 4 that were completely fine with or without the contact frame. But after 15 builds with extreme socket bend making for poor contact with heatsinks I can say this helps more often than not. This contact frame has lowered temps by upwards of 8C on my builds and yes I tested each one. So yes, in my professional opinion Intel created a problem, never addressed it and these are the best solution, especially for anything Core i7 and up. The fact that Thermal Right created these at such a reasonable price and are indeed just as effective as Thermal Grizzly’s (check Gamers Nexus) seems too good to be true, but as I’ve said I’ve used these on 15 builds and they’re worth every penny.

> 24 hourI tried this modification because I didnt like how much torque was being applied to my CPU when using the stock fastener. I am not sure if it was actually bending the chip but it was under too much pressure in my opinion. Temps improved slightly. Easy to remove original and install and looks cleaner than original silver clamp. Comes with tool to remove and reinstall screws.

> 24 hourWhen I bought my i7-13700K, the CPU would randomly spike to 100 °C while idle and stay at that temperature for 4 to 5 minutes. I upgraded my CPU cooler to a corsair 420 mm CPU watercooler, but the same issue occurred, although it didnt stay as long at 100 °C. The problem disappeared when I switched to the Thermalright contact frame. I also noticed an improvement in the average temperature of the CPU at idle and under load. It is clear that this contact frame helps the CPU behave in a better way, especially for a CPU that is known to overheat.
