Greater than one weekI recently purchased an hp envy x360 2 in 1 15.6 laptop. At almost a $1000, I was looking for a durable and protective case with storage room for my pricey acquisition. Having purchased tomtoc products for my other devices, I knew they would have what I was looking for at a great price point. I chose this particular case because it offered the non bulky additional storage I wanted for accessories and personal belongings in a secure double zipped outer pocket with bands to secure your belongings as well as additional space for writing tools, notepads, wallet, phone and more. The side zip pocket is lined in a plush thick material to ensure easy storing and protection from scratches and such. The inner lining offers shock resistance from corner to corner. My laptop slipped right in as well as my mouse pad and journals. Its not a snug fit but its the perfect size for my needs. The top retractable handle is sturdy and well made. The color combination I chose is eye catching and sleek. Overall Im very satisfied with this additional tomtoc product. Having experience with other tomtoc cases, I feel secure in that my device is well protected in case of accidental drops, liquid spills, and zippers sliding open. Great for travel, work, school or just plain protection. The price points are great and the quality is outstanding.

> 3 dayFor the money its a good case. For me its dual purpose. Sometimes I put it in a backpack with other stuff and it keeps it protected. Other times I use it as a standalone case. The interior seams are unfinished and its possible over time it could cause wear/buff marks on the exterior of your laptop. I havent used it enough to know yet if this will be a problem. You can find better cases certainly but for several times the price of this one. So, just a cost/benefit decision.

> 3 dayFits the Surface Book very well. The interior has a very soft texture which makes me comfortable enough to even stow the Surface Book with the screen facing outward, in note-taking position. The pocket has elastic which is strong enough to securely hold accessories. The overall size is small enough to place in a larger backpack which can provide additional storage and additional layers of protection. The main cons are: * The handle material feels like cheap, imitation leather, which Im afraid will crack like that material frequently does -- especially considering it is on the part of the case most commonly bent, twisted and otherwise manipulated. * The snug fit around the Surface Book means you have to remove the pen from the device and store it in the pocket. If you dont use the pen much then this wont matter to you. However, if youre a frequent pen user, youll need to take the extra step of unzipping the pocket and removing the pen each time you pull out the Surface Book.

> 3 dayThe only thing I dont love about this case is the zipper closure...I wish the zippers started on the bottom and ended at the top (where the handle is). Its hard to explain, but the hinge of the case is where the handle is instead of the handle being opposite the hinge. Im scared to death that if the zippers dont get 100% closed and I pick it up that my chromebook will fall out. (As it stands, when you pick it up by the handle, the zippers meet at the bottom.) HOWEVER, its a very easy work around (I just use one zipper so that it does end back up at the handle) and, otherwise, I love this case. It looks nice, has tons of padding, and is incredibly soft inside. It fits the dimensions of my chromebook perfectly, so I dont worry about it sliding around.

> 3 dayI was lucky enough to purchase a kindle 10 and an 12 iPad. I dont read books on my iPad but wanted a case that was protective for both and comfortable to carry. This case with its side opening holds both with room to spare. Both have individual cases on them and fit nicely inside this plush case. I also have room for both chargers to fit inside a smaller outside zip pocket. The stitching and quality of the materials is of top quality. Its durable enough to carry on its own, yet its small enough to slip into a backpack. I love this case and would highly recommend it to anyone. Mine is a navy blue with a brown handle.

> 3 dayThought I would write a quick review of this little case before I forget. This is exactly what I wanted to replace the thin little neoprene sleeve I was using, which had a broken zipper and holes in the corners. This is made from good materials and has good construction. It looks exactly as in the product photos at the top of the page on Amazon. After seeing some of the reviews for these, with their photos of wrinkles in the fabric, I was a little worried. However, the case I received does not have that problem and is, as I said, exactly like the photos from the manufacturer. The outside of the case looks and feels like a light denier nylon or similar fabric, which is smooth and durable looking. I held it briefly under running water from a faucet to check water resistance. It did shed the water, but there was very little beading and I could tell that it wouldnt stand up to much more than a splash or two before the water would begin to soak in. If thats an issue, I think spraying it with something like Scotch-Guard or other water repellent spray would probably make it considerably more resistant, but never to the point that you could submerge it. In the pouch on the outside I have put the power brick and cord for the laptop, and a cheap mouse. There was still some room for a few papers. All this makes the case more bulky, but it still has no problem going into a backpack. Its a fairly thin case if you only have a laptop and maybe some papers. The zippers are good YKK nylon zippers with metal zipper pulls. They should be fine as long as theyre not abused. The inside of the case is soft and luxurious feeling, with a thick, soft bumper of padding around the bottom edges, and a thin little one around the top edges. I tried to feel the rubber corner armor pieces by squeezing and flexing the corners of the case, but I could feel nothing. If they are there, they must be pretty thin and insubstantial. However, the thick bumper padding I mentioned gives confidence. The handle is soft for carrying, seems attached to the case well, and retracts flat against the case when not in use. It is also wide enough to be comfortable. About the width of my thumb. This case is not what I would call rugged, but it is an excellent basic case for protecting your laptop and everyday use. It meets my expectations handily from the description and photos on its Amazon page. Definitely recommended!
