With other reviews on this item I was hopeful this product would do as advertised. It is functional as a support for my large window Air conditioner. If you want something that will hold up large 80+ lb ac unit you will get it here. The reason I did not give it a 5 star is because it did not come with clear instructions and there are no videos online that address this specific install. Putting it together is a no brainer i had it together in around a minute. The install on the other hand took me around a half hour to get the support system in place accurately. Making sure to have the tilt if any to the outside not to the inside of the window was a bit difficult. I live on 3rd story of the building so it is difficult to dangle out the window and adjust. It did finally get to the spot I needed; however it left many large gaps to be filled. We have windows that are tilt in to clean and deep casement. If this is the type you have, make sure you get rigid foam boards to fill gaps because there will be many. Once filled and in place it works wonderful. No longer do I have to worry about the unit falling out of the window.

I had a nightmare time trying to install my 12000BTU AC in my condos window. The window is old and the sill is strange, and other brackets that required bolts just didnt line up properly. I decided to go with this one after reading the wirecutter review and wow did it do the trick. I simply installed the arms and the locking mechanisms and it fit just right. It turned a project I dreaded doing into something I found quite easy and fun. Would buy again.

We have ruined our window trim with installing and reinstalling our air conditioner in the spring/fall. I was done, so I started looking for something that was simple and easy and would provide the support we needed. I chose this product because it came fully assembled except four pieces which you need to adjust to your window. It took us a couple of tries to get it installed (no more than 30 minutes) once it is was installed, we slide the AC unit onto the bracket - what a great device. It leveled properly. We liked it so much we purchased 2 more brackets for our other AC units. Highly recommend.

Product is very solid and fits really well into my window frame. Did slightly adjust where the AC lines up with my window so the lip doesn’t exactly align, and some air gaps increased, but that’s because I have an old style house where the side panels don’t line up with where the window slide open. Some rolled up towels were able to seal the gaps. Definitely feel much better about having my window AC above the front of the house, especially if we experience any big earthquakes, I feel like this will actually stay in the window now. Anyways, my product had a slight defect (defects happens even with the best product manufacture design), I reached out to customer service, and they sent me a replacement piece right away. Replacement piece works great. Would buy again.

It took some time to figure out how to adjust it. Instructions says to put sides in the third hole. Found out that meant third from the shortest setting. After that, I got it in place. As a former welder, I can appreciate the construction of it. My window frame is not the best for it, but got it to work. Placed a 2x6x24 piece of redwood under the AC unit to keep it from tipping too much. Will work better after I anchor the wooden piece. It will give me peace of mind that my A/C unit is well supported and should not put a strain on my apartments window frame.

I was surprised that it was as good as they said it was . It had all the parts only a couple of dings in it so all I had to do was put a heavy spray seal on it just like new . Not often you get an item that’s $76.00 for $17.00 . Works great

Fits our very difficult-to-fit for other supports Brownstone window. Took all of 5 minutes to get it set up and installed, and it supports the AC perfectly.

Extremely sturdy and easy to install BUT needs some modifications if using with an AC requiring to install the cabinet then the AC itself. I used 2 pieces of 3/8 thick aluminum I bolted to the far crossbar , then I could install the cabinet (bolted to the crossbars). I would suggest the manufacturer to offer this modification as an option. Fits tightly and very nicely. Required very little weather stripping. For all other window ACs, can be used easily. Just check that your windows are compatible with this shelf: go on the web site of the manufacturer: there are some good pictures. By the way the instructions are not well written.

Purchased this specific model because the window is visible from the street and we wanted to be able to remove the AC when no longer needed without leaving an ugly support in place. I think they designed it to support twice the weight of any model AC just in case. Incredibly sturdy and the pins allow for minute adjustment to ensure a perfect angle for your AC to drain. Only draw back is just how much more it costs than a standard model. Bit too much more. I would have continued to shop around but were out of time with company arriving.
